I think Daddysredhead said it best.  There are people in all walks of life that have low self esteem, high self esteem or even no self esteem.  It has nothing to do with being submissive.  I would think that finding the right partner/Owner/Dom would raise one's self esteem and help one feel greater self esteem in his/her submissiveness and in all aspects of one's life.  I don't have self esteem issues (can you tell?); however, my Dom recently helped me over an issue I've been having with my appearance due to a condition I recently developed.  Without His reassurances, I might still be wearing long sleeves in 90 degree weather!

Well I admit… it was surprising for me how people differently reacted and answered my thread.

Anyway… I enjoyed it and learned from it, and thanks to everyone.

Master96,

i am not sure exactly what kind of response you were looking for when your question basically states that you think all those who are submissive suffer from low self-esteem. If someone had asked you if all people who call themselves Master suffer from low self-esteem and have to control others to feel better about themselves, wouldn't such a blanket indictment offend you?

I didn’t assume that… please understand me. I asked the question to know if that is true, I didn’t say it was.

Probably… but I would argue him/her, and wouldn’t attack that person.
