Oside, I totally would have enjoyed that. Estate sales are awesome!

I bought a set of antique Fostoria American glasses for $5. And a cast iron dutch oven for $15. I was stoked!

Today we got chocolates, Moët,and diamond heart necklaces. Then hubby took us out to dinner to our fav. Indian restaurant.
What about you guys?

I got a car, a garage remodel, flowers, new tires and a carton of Marlboro's.

But...I put out.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Tell me about your valentines day! (2/15/2013 5:55:42 PM)

Nothing...really. No relationship to brag about, was dealing with Baby M the niece before dropping her off with her mother at the school, went to Walmart for some stuff while Mom got her eyes checked (The cataracts are improving...the new script is working for her). Watched Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and went to bed early. Also worked on a baby afghan (hopefully I get the stitching done tomorrow and the border on Sunday).

I made a nice dinner for Master and we cuddled up on the couch for the night. For me, that's the best I could ask for....to have him with me and spending time with me even when he's busy.

Love estate sales - and a dutch oven for $15 is wonderful!

The last one my sweetie and i went to i got a batik table cloth and napkins for a few bucks - still with the tag from Indonesia on. They will end up in a quilt. [:D] Way too nice to spill food on.

littlewonder -> RE: Tell me about your valentines day! (2/15/2013 10:00:33 PM)

My husband and I used to go to estate sales at least a couple times a month. Each time we ended up buying furniture for our apartment. I haven't been to one in years now.

Thanks for reminding me though. I think I may have to hunt some down and go just for something fun to do. I don't really need to buy anything though. [:(]

nothing on my part.

i am glad to see though that my son has my romantic streak. he stayed over at his girlfriend's house, made her breakfast in bed, gave her flowers, took her for a meal, and then to the cinema. he is very thoughtful about his gf all the time, but he wanted to make their first valentine together special for her. apparently she was a little teary at the effort he made.

it does get me a little when others go on about the commercial side of something like valentine's day. while it is taken advantage of by shops that doesn't mean you have to do the whole shop thing. i love romance, however, i want that romance to be individual to me. that means that it could be anything at all so long as someone has made the effort. i do also see the point of what some say about showing your SO's that you care on any day of the year too, but we do have a day for it so why not? i don't get what the big deal is about doing nothing and using the commercial side of it as an excuse not to.

i once started a thread on another site with the question of 'who decides what/when is romantic?'. i think that if you know your SO well enough then it doesn't have to be about what you can buy in the shops. in fact, for me, it would mean alot more if it wasn't.

congrats to kiwi on the engagement too!

eeehhh - thank you all for the congrats. I was tickled pink.

Of course, when the issue of a date came up, he said that this decade was bad for him, so we shall have to see what the next one brings. *grins* He is so funny. Just as well i'm in no hurry to get married. I have the bling, and the rest can wait on resolving family issues on both sides, relating to adult kids needing to get off their butts and getting a life of their own. [:D] [8|]

I normally wear these:

He brought me these (and stockings and garters):

I'm really enjoying the contrast between my daytime persona and who I am when I'm with him.

Best wishes, Kiwi! I tried to find a kiwi and champagne flute in the same shot, but apparently the flightless birds don't drink. And I don't have Photoshop.

My Valentine's Day brought two manifestations of incredibly deep love. My amazing aunt set aside her own plans for the afternoon to accompany me to an appointment with an oncologist. I brought her some tulips and chocolate as a modest token of thanks for her being with me on this increasingly surreal journey.

That evening, two dear friends took me out to dinner, listening gently when I needed to talk and talking engagingly when I needed to listen.

Ooh, those look like good sitting shoes. [:D]

kiwisub12 -> RE: Tell me about your valentines day! (2/16/2013 8:28:34 AM)

Thanks for the photos, very cute kiwi.

and you are obviously a very special person for your aunt to go to an oncologist appointment with you. I've been to many with my late Sir, and they aren't known for their grins and giggles. On the other hand, chocolate will make me do many things. [:D]

littlewonder -> RE: Tell me about your valentines day! (2/16/2013 9:07:48 AM)

congrats kiwi! I wish you both the happiest of life together.

I talked to my daughter yesterday and asked her what she and her boyfriend did for Valentine's Day. She said he gave her Vosgues chocolates and flowers, she gave him a video game he wanted and then they sat in front of the tv and watched movies together.

I told her they have become an old married couple like Master and I hehe. She's 21. [:D]

samdarella -> RE: Tell me about your valentines day! (2/16/2013 1:54:51 PM)

Master woke me by licking me. Then He had breakfast ready including fresh strawberries and whipped cream. There was a dozen variegated roses on the table along with the biggest 5 part I love you balloon, a box of chocolates with a teddy bear, valentines cupcakes (I love cupcakes), and a package of golden Oreos (haven't been allowed to have any of those in over 6 months bc I was addicted. Also a very romantic card.

After breakfast we had some work to do then showered and ran errands. We picked up the most awesomely sexy red heels that He had bought for me. I wanted to cook for Him but it was getting late so I asked to take Him to dinner. First 3 places had a long wait(silly me I knew that would be the case is why I was going to cook) but then I remembered a place not everyone knows about. Less than ten minutes we were seated having margaritas. They were so good Master could only drink one and a half. Highly unusual for the man that orders them 2 at a time normally. We split appetizers and an entree but each had a flan for dessert. Then He took me to the movies and we held hands like kids.

After the movie we went home and watched tv and I fell asleep in my favorite position, cuddled up with my head on Daddy's chest. We woke and played some and then played World of Warcraft for awhile. The whole day was beautifully and sickeningly romantic.

Friday I had to work. But when I got home at 7 am, Master had a picture of roses that said its not Valentines Day and I love you. He also had breakfast waiting. I took a shower but He made me go to sleep since I had to get up in 5 hours to work another double. He sent me to work after licking me to orgasms then spanking me until I orgasmed again.

I am such a lucky girl.

I know some people might be shocked that the sick, twisted ResidentSadist has a very warm, romantic and loving side. But the secret is out. It of course in no way diminishes that He is Master and a hard core sadist. It just gives me even more reasons to love Him.

Congratulations kiwi. We wish you both the best.

Some of the best love isn't always romantic dcnovice. And you are obviously loved. Sounds like you had just the special kind of day that you needed. Any great love in a persons life is special and they are lucky to have it.

Agreed. I believe RS is a good man, so hearing that he's romantic with you isn't a stretch.

Kiwi, congrats!

Love is in the air... if it'd just stop flying past here...

Pathetic, sad, but true..........I agree with Awareness.

Was a regular sorta day. Work, came home, cooked dinner, watched a movie, went to bed.

I tend to rebel against commercial type stuff.

I am now working at a company with quite a few women of various ages. Most are married. The deliveries were rolling in like crazy. Nearly all for the younger, 20-30's crowd. The biggest, most expensive and dramatic flower arrangement was for a young woman who's last name I know. Her father in law tried like hell to get me to have a last, single guy fling.........nearly 25 years ago. When his, soon to be wife, got up to use the bathroom. The night before they got married. Real winner, that guy. Naturally, given the, over the top display of that guy's son the other day, I have to wonder if it is a case of, like father like son. Made me feel bad for her. She seems like a nice girl.
