missturbation -> loss of sensitivity (6/20/2006 6:41:01 PM)

I'm sure this has been asked before but im wondering if anyone here has suffered from loss of sensitivity from having their nipple pierced?
Would also be glad to hear of any other problems you may have had through this piercing.
thank you in advance.

I have pierced several nipples [:)] from one nipple on a DOMME to nailing a sub to a Post  and letting her pull herself loose. [:-]

Nonehave reported loss of sensitivity and more then one more sensitive.[8D]

there was no loss of sensitivity, actually the opposite, they are extremely sensitive.

when they were pierced, on the left side a nerve was pierced also with the needle, i felt the burn clear up to my neck.  that also required an extended healing time with quite a bit of supervision.  other than childbirth, it was the most painful thing to grace my life, not for the squeamish and took me 5 years to do.  i remember there was a 6 month healing time anyway where seepage was a daily event too.

I have had just the opposite experience....more sensitivity. Loss of sensitivity IS a real possible complication of piercing though. I recommend cutting the risks of such by going to a reputable and experienced piercer and following all of the aftercare instructions to the letter. The healing time on nipples is very slow and I have heard of some people still having issues after a year.

The only problem that I ever had with mine was that when I changed the jewelry I used jewelry that had glass beads and was very pretty but not of good quality. I began having problems almost immediately. I didn't realize that the glass was chipping off where it met the ring in microscopic little slivers and was embedding itself in my nipples. It is worth the extra cost to buy high quality jewelry.

OMG, well that re-affirms my desire never to have my nipples pierced. [:-]

Thank you to you all. I think i've changed my mind though and i'm not going to have it done.

It did hurt..and it is taking what seems like forever to heal....ugh!

Am I glad I had it done? Yes.  Would I do it again? Probably not.  I want to start lactating..and now I have to wait till they decide to heal all the way...after going thru all of that..no way I am letting them grow up.

They are now beginning to finally be more sensitive.. and I think I had them done in April..I believe.  No where near ready for any play though..but I am sure looking forward to a bit of licking and nibbling here and there. [;)]
