HarryVanWinkle -> Copied Profiles (2/17/2013 5:18:00 PM)

Don't you just love it when you see the exact same words used on different profiles? Doesn't it make you just ache to contact a person who can't even be bothered to write his own profile, so he simply copies the wording of somebody else's?

The purpose of this thread is to show examples of them. Please remember that it is a violation of CM's TOU to put the name of the person whose profile you're copying here. Although I do wish they'd make an exception for this one.

Here's one I've seen twice on new profiles today, and several times over the last few days

quote:

So you work hard to make money and I'll just take it. Why? Because I own you and you will spoil me! You'll spend your hard earned money to pay my rent, buy me clothes and everything else I want. How does that make you feel? Me taking your money! *** Unlike most dommes i actually get off on making you my money slave, it's not just about the money for me.

Does anybody think it would be a violation of the TOU, and/ or a good idea if we came with a copy/paste email to send to people who post copied profiles, so they could get a million emails saying something to the effect of "At least write an original profile?":

LOL Interesting idea. Although my first thought is not that they copied someone else's words, but that one person might have more than one profile set up.

Actually, I think it's some of both. Although the ones I saw today had pictures of two very different looking women.

Lol yeah because someone stealing profile would never steal pics

littlewonder -> RE: Copied Profiles (2/17/2013 6:16:29 PM)

I'm wondering why it bothers you. If you don't like a profile hit the "next profile" button or hide them.

slaveluci -> RE: Copied Profiles (2/18/2013 5:27:06 AM)

~FR~
It only bothered me when someone did it to me. I had taken great care to write a very sincere, thoughtful, honest profile narrative. It really described who we are and what we sought as well as what we had to offer others. I'd had it on here a year or more, I guess, and saw another local profile scroll by with the exact same words. The ONLY thing they had changed was the names. I was so annoyed. I messaged the couple and politely asked them to stop using my work on their profile but they both denied they had copied mine. I mean it was EXACTLY the same! They insinuated that I had copied them though I had a profile here well before they did and the narrative had been virtually the same since the first year or so. Some people are just lazy, ignorant liars and cheats and have no problem slapping their name on your work. Sucks to be them.

But, I didn't want others to see us both with the same profile and think I'd copied them so I pared ours way down and hid theirs so it wouldn't be a constant reminder of my aggravation when I logged on [;)]

lizi -> RE: Copied Profiles (2/18/2013 6:39:16 AM)

Imitation may be flattery in this case, and it's also straight out theft. Which is why in some circles it's treated as the crime that it is with some very serious consequences.

DarkSteven -> RE: Copied Profiles (2/18/2013 6:41:53 AM)

Someone once copied my sig line. He posted an incoherent, poorly spelled post in another online forum, and then appended my sig line. It went over poorly.

intellisubbear -> RE: Copied Profiles (2/18/2013 7:31:54 AM)

A copied profile is a 'duplicate' profile, most likely.
Scammers aren't all that inventive.
So they create multiple profiles, and they put the same stuff in them.

The problem is then you have to hit the hide button on all the copied profiles that you have! :)

mnottertail -> RE: Copied Profiles (2/18/2013 7:56:26 AM)

Nobody ever has copied my profile.  I like blowjobs, or am I the only one?

I keep hearing rumors that you like bjs but I have yet to see proof.

and? It's not very difficult.

FinDommeXtina -> RE: Copied Profiles (2/18/2013 9:10:00 PM)

Everyone has to start somewhere. I hate empty profiles from people who contact me. At least when I see a a copied profile it's a much brighter red flag this person isn't worth any effort.

Awwww. It was just a joke. I was reversing it saying the guy who is doing all the copying has to hid HIDE all the time .. and , well, oh never mind.

bayareacouple -> RE: Copied Profiles (2/19/2013 5:15:58 PM)

Don't ever stoop to the level of explaining a joke.

That was more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

So glad he's disappeared.
