We could have used some of those during the blizzard of '77.

My father came up with another idea instead, involving me, a snow shovel, the chimney and a length of rope.

Let's see? 

First of all it is Very effective! 

Then it is also: Simple, No moving parts, Cheap to make,
Easy to store since I bet the handle detaches,
wearing parts (vinyl) are cheap and easy to get.  

Yes, Very Impressive!

I'll even let Dusky get by with calling a snow removal tool "cool" on this one.
