I don't think I would go that far. But, I do find it pretty craptastical that he doesnt have "time" to do anything other than spanking a stranger for cash. He doesn't have to come here for that, there are plenty of escorts in the OC area he can hook up with who will comply for cash.

a "pro" would mean he's paying a "prostitute" in his mind. And prostitutes are "dirty" and "below" him. Now if he could find an escort, I'm betting he wouldn't be too turned off by that. She can pretend to be his sophisticated date while just being paid for the pleasure.

That does sound like OC logic at it's finest, but no, not the reasoning at all. I have NO issues with professional subs, I don't think they are below me, and it's not that I don't want to bother with the effort to be a dom. I think that it might be more fun to be with a first-timer VS a pro because the exchange would be, in my opinion, more authentic. Again, I am not ruling out a pro, just saying that is my opinion.

Also, there is a difference between a professional sub/Domme and a prostitute, for what it is worth. Not saying one is better or worse than the other, but a professional in the BDSM world typically does not have sex with her clients, whereas a prostitute, obviously, does. They offer very different services.

I must say I am really surprised that, on this board, if your kink doesn't line up with someone else's, you get HAMMERED. But that's alright, I can take it!

I think you and I have a different opinion of what we consider a pro. Frankly, anybody taking money for engaging in a scene is a pro. There's no board of standards about how many clients (that would be you) a person has to have or how much experience they have in the services they offer. There's no firm definition of it. If you are looking to make a financial/business transaction, otherwise known as pay for play, you are paying a professional.

AHH it always comes down to semantics, doesn't it? I totally see your point; a professional is someone who is getting paid. I might be more accurate, then, to state that I have a preference (though not a requirement) for a noobie VS a seasoned pro.

There must be some average we can take after a large enough sample to say, "on the average of x posts, someone decides to take a shot at the OP's (1) Profile or (2) intention or (3)honesty, and then it's like sharks circling for the kill. eerr....if you're paying a pro, how is she a noobie? She's most likely done this hundreds if not thousands of times. Nothing new to her. She's just getting paid to indulge you in your fantasy. She can pretend to be a noobie though depending on how much you're paying her.

Semantics can be important for a written medium. For a profile or a thread, that's really all you've got.

Maybe you could phrase it in a positive way? Something like you would enjoy giving somebody the opportunity to help them get their pro status off of the ground? Mention that you are more interested in pros that are just starting out?

Not sure if that would help, but it's worth a shot.

I get the paying part. It can add some spice and also boundaries.

I don't personally get the juxtaposition of professional + inexperienced but I understand this is commonly sought.
