I know that i have absolutely no info about your son - but would learning sign language help with his communication? Having said that, i'm thinking his infor. processing may not allow him to ge the connection between motion and meaning. It was just a thought. [:)]

He also has a thick communication book that he carries around with him and uses and will write or draw to get his point across.
