And we know what we`re talking about when we say "liar"

Not.....I didn`t get a law passed, after trying.

Scooter Libby, dick cheney,condi,etc..... You know....criminal lies..... that get folks killed.....that`s what most folks call lying.

Please cons.......you`ll never get rid of the bush taint.[:D]

I never said he was a liar. I don't think he's made of that kind of calculating maliciousness. Nor have I ever seen the slightest clue of it. I think he believes what he's saying while he's saying it. That's what makes him so convincing, and so scary. He seems to suspend any contact with reality when he's playing to a crowd. It's an ability I've only ever seen in psychopaths.

John Kerry has already said that it is VERY important that we reach out to Freedonia, lead by that ever-popular Rufus T. Firefly.

Peace and comfort,

Well, I didn't say I thought he actually was. It could also be that he relies too much on the information he's fed by the people he surrounds himself with. But for all his talk, he's not someone brimming over with empathy. The federal response to Sandy and its (ongoing) aftermath makes the handling of Katrina look like Swiss watchwork.

Apparently channeling Joe Biden, our new Secretary of State has invented a new country: Kyrzakhstan.

In an embarrassing slip of the tongue, Mr Kerry last week praised US diplomats working to secure "democratic institutions" in the Central Asian country, which does not exist. The newly minted diplomat was referring to Kyrgyzstan, a poor, landlocked nation of 5.5 million, which he appeared to confuse with its resource-rich neighbour to the north, Kazakhstan.

But don't worry, the transcript of his remarks has been "cleansed".

The State Department kindly omitted the error in the official transcript of Wednesday's speech, which Mr Kerry delivered on the eve of his first foreign trip as secretary of state. Mr Kerry's flub was all the more awkward, because Kyrgyzstan is a key ally in the U.S.-led war in Afghanistan and a major recipient of US aid, which totalled $41 million (£27 million) in 2011.

Amusingly, the story attempts to soft-pedal the gaff by noting that Kerry isn't the first to make such a mistake.

In August 2008, then-President George W Bush mixed up Russia and its tiny southern neighbour Georgia...

Well damn. That should make everyone feel better, eh? Just what we need, more idiots in high places.

I see $2,300 toilets, $1,250 hammers and $25,000 entertainment systems coming soon for Kyrzakhstan.

(All of which these disparate people need).

Yawn......

At least he hasn`t lied under oath about WMD that don`t exist......

Condi?!

What didn't exist were nukes.
May I point out that poison gas, used on your own people, is a WMD?
For no other reason than to retire that hackneyed cliche.

Thanks for that Kirata. I was too lazy to go digging for what should've been an obvious and well known fact.

This is what makes me nuts about American politics. People treat it more like a football game than running a country with the most powerful military in the world. Nobody cares what their own team does so long as they win. I actually find that particularly interesting given that these are BDSM discussion boards where, allegedly, people care about "honor".

Me too. Really, really tired of the "your side, my side" deal. If we could quit the pissing contest, maybe something could be accomplished. Seems to get worse and worse all the time.
