For ME the mini-vacation planning takes the a lot of pressure off in regards to the meeting because the reality is I will enjoy my time regardless of how things work out with the person I am meeting.
That is why I say have HONEST conversation and lay it all on the table. Make it clear that you are NOT looking for play or an immediate d/s dynamic. If you say that up front and he STILL expects it, well that tells you a lot about him and may tell you what your next move is.
