If her and her doctors know what her issues are THEY can help her better. Plus IMO everyone has a right to know what is going on with them. (both physically and mentally)

Yes, there are resources that she has access to now. However, she can't use them or truly use them effectively.


Example:

She can go back to school but if she is truly on the autistic scale, or has aspergers, or any other mental / cognitive disorder being tossed back into general ed population will do nothing except set her up to fail.

Just curious as to why you have a hard on for this woman because I never see you having anything but negative to say. Why let it bother you so much? Im honestly not saying this to be snarky or anything, but every thread Ive seen her start...you generally come in talking down about her. From everything Ive seen, people arent exactly rolling in piles of money on SSI.

Not all doctors do cognitive and psychological tests, Social Security does REQUIRE those tests to be done for varies things so they can refer her to someone that does them.

You say don't jump on you but you want to jump on TFB and flat out insult her? Aren't you special. *coughs*

TFB has reasons for being the way she. Does she make some bad and fucked up choices? Yep.

However, again their is a real issue there while being an asshole is obviously and simply a choice.

And as I have already told you on the other side, I tried adult ed promptly after I dropped out of highschool, and I couldn't comprehend what he was trying to teach me and it took me 5 times to get anywhere near close to what he was wanting, and it still wasn't right, and by this time I was embarrassed and frustrated and near the point of tears, face bright red, and he told me to get my things and go home. He couldn't help me. He totally humiliated me in front of the entire class.


When I called my dad to come get me I was bawling so hard I could barely talk. It took him a long time to calm me down once he got to me, and for hours i still sniffled and hickuped.

I had a much better teacher last time I went to adult ed, but I still couldn't comprehend some of the stuff, and I still tend to want to cry when I am at my limits of my patience with no understanding the subject. Any time I am supremely frusterated or can't understand anything, my patience is pretty limited, and my first instinct is to cry.

Which is humiliating. I don't want to be sitting in class crying in front of the whole class and my teacher.

There was a point where the public HS said my non-verbal son who reads on a 3rd grade level belonged in general ed not special needs classes. At the time I was trying to work within the school system to get him placed correctly (again). However, for almost 2 semesters he was in general ed classes doing NOTHING. He couldn't do any of it, because you can only modify work so much.

He was frustrated and lost.

I imagine THAT is how you felt in adult GED courses from what you have said on the forums and to me privately.

Yes. Actually, in highschool they put me in regular math classes, even though i clearly told them I do not know how to do math, I don't even have basic math skills and they were putting me in 12th grade math skills, so I finally got them to listen, they put me in special ed math class, that was still to fricken hard for me, and I tried, oh good lord I tried. And finally i chose to take an F in the class and read quietly the whole period.

My teachers told me I was faking it, I was lazy, I just wanted them to do the work for me, If I'd put my book down and pay attention I'd understand the subject, that I didn't do my home work and I was a goof off, and that's why I couldn't comprehend the subject.


Keep in mind when I transferred from an all special ed school primarily where I wasn't ever expected to do any work, or actually learn anything, i spent most my time as a kindergarten teachers aid, , to a regular school with special ed. I'd never seen any of these classes a day in my life. And they expected me to understand and excel at these classes , when my education levels were non exsistant to 3rd grade, depending on which subject.

Maybe it's because she has all day long to play on the computer but won't do anything to improve herself except talk about it. Where I live there are downs syndrome young adults bagging grocerys. As I mentioned in a post last week I have two friends. One in wheelchair and another with 1 leg. Guess what. They both go to work every day and have very good jobs. She bugs me with her whining and that is that.

Servant, honey, just don't read it. Then you won't get frustrated and say hurtful things. We all get that the situation gets you hot under the collar, but you can avoid reading it, not post on it, and save yourself both the negativity and the karma. And other people won't get discouraged, hurt, or mad at you. Ok?

What about you because you seem to spend an awful lot of time on her threads talking shit about her. I dont see you helping, I dont see you offering anything. I openly admit I am HARD on TFB.
Hell that isn't a secret on the forums or to her. Lol

However, I will say this.
Unlike my son who has worked, the people you speak about and others who have her disabilities and or worse that work even p/t . They have a support system of some kind. Someone advocating for them.

Frankly TFB doesn't have that.

Maybe TFB should answer my question. Why won't your 'daddy' help you ? Where are your parents when all of this is going on? Why do you feel it necessary to be diagnosed for even more health problems ? ( I can answer the last one )

In fairness, no. Any person can contribute to any thread, regardless if the original poster wants them to comment or not.

The stalking thing that is mentioned is about the other side. Emails, multiple occasions of harassing and/or creating multiple accounts in order to achieve that. If he hasn't contacted her privately, he's got just as much right to comment as those who are of the opinion that she needs to be treated with kid gloves.

I honestly wouldnt answer your questions either because we all know what that means. Its just more fodder for another round of bullying and being nasty. I truly find it sad that your big aim in life is to specifically target someone who from what I gather is disabled in some way or another (if Im correct on that TFB and those who speak with her?). You remind me of the kids in high school who would harass and torment the kids from special education classes as sport. So absolutely sad.

If she ever would get help and a JOB, the gravy train would end. That's not going to happen in her case..She will be on the dole for the rest of her life and we will all be paying for it in one way or another.

A year or two or three from now everything will be the same. TFB will still be looking for help and those who feel sorry for her will still be trying to help her.
