Dear isanyonereal, Ladies and Gentlemen; Being one that is older than over the hill, to be under the hill per se, I can feel at ease speaking about Want to Be types, Game Players and or Liars. Sure, there are plenty of Want-to-Be types. It goes back to when you and or anybody else for that matter began and wanted to be included, accepted and given a chance. If it wasn't for senior members of the community to give a hand up, invest in others --it wouldn't be so popular , progressive and or open. Just because a person wants to be-- regardless if Master, Mistress and or slave, Dominant and or submissive and or Switch; that is not just cause to cause a tirade upon the whole board and or community, to which disrespects any and all, who with good intent are starting their journey in the lifestyle. What has my concern, is that the compassion, patience, respect and the tenor of the lifestyle that once was practiced in the mid 1970s is absent. Most telling for a few of us. I am of the memories, when our dominant words were carefully said, as not to recklessly affect others as well as to embarrass ourselves. In my mind's eye; to be so unkind in a way as to judge other's profiles without facts and or independent witnesses that can vouch for other's profiles as being 'false' and or 'misleading,' is not something that I recall was done so by others. Being of the community, it would be just as unkind to make false statements about your profile, without the evidence or the circumstances that lead reasonable individuals to believe the facts or statements to be true or un-true. What would be in the many minds when they read such, perhaps would as who appointed you and or anybody else for that matter, as judge, jury and adjudicate justice on any individual based upon profiles alone. Perhaps you might not have considered why people behave in such a manner contrary to your personal 'tastes' and 'observations.' Perhaps you do not account for individuals in different time zones, that work different shifts, that are care givers, that are between slaves and or Masters/Mistresses and or submissives/dominants. Perhaps you do not account for those who lost their other half and or some other tragedy; so they have more time to computers and forums. Perhaps you do not consider that some individuals delight in interactions with others, without expectations and or with expectations to learn, share, heal, seek comfort, seek support and or seek 'the one or more.' Perhaps you do not consider those who race around the country, representing the leather community and champion those who have no voice or show compassion by holding a banner to a worth cause. Perhaps you have not considered those who travel as to share techniques, knowledge and skills to other groups outside their own little area. In reading your initial post, I don't have as much time in the scene as you however, I remember the manners of the years following. This is why I am so sad for you. Respectfully submitted for consideration, Lady Hugs
