LadyPact -> March Roll Call (3/2/2013 11:09:05 AM)

In like a lion, out like a lamb. (I'm hoping in My case anyway.)

Happy March, everybody! It's time for our traditional beginning of the month roll call. If you haven't participated in a roll call before, this is our chance to update how everything is going in our lives, what's happening, what we're doing, or who we're doing, as the case may be. [;)]

Tonight is the official opening of My dungeon! I am beside Myself with excitement. If there are any details that I've missed, it's certainly not for the lack of going over everything twice. The equipment's been tested. The play stations are ready. Safety measures are in place. The only thing that's missing is a name. So far, I just call it Mine.

Dinner for guests tonight consists of Mexican buffet. I've created a wonderful taco salad bar which will include chicken skewers, ground beef, beans, and all of the toppings. All with flour tortilla taco bowls so people can build their own. Deserts are chocolate fudge, banana nut bread, pretzels, pineapple, or strawberries with chocolate dipping sauce available. (Yeah, I'm cooking.) Coffee/tea service is available upstairs.

For those guests who choose to stay the night, the guest beds have been made up. Available breakfast options include bacon, fresh caribou sausage, and pancakes with choice of syrup. I guess this qualifies us as a kinky B&B.

So, what's happening in your world?

MistressDarkArt -> RE: March Roll Call (3/2/2013 6:12:27 PM)

Go for it, Harry! All are welcome.

DarkSteven -> RE: March Roll Call (3/2/2013 6:20:07 PM)

Dammit, LadyP. I may relocate to Alaska!

Things here look good. Tasha's son has finally started a good job, which will eliminate her subsidizing him and ease things up a lot. She's already more cheerful.

My diabetes has stubbornly refused to get better, so I've started exercising regularly and may be making extreme changes in my diet.

Please join in, Harry. These roll calls are for anyone who frequents the board and would like to share a corner of their world.

HarryVanWinkle -> RE: March Roll Call (3/2/2013 7:33:12 PM)

I'd love to come up and see your new dungeon. Unfortunately, my health and cold air are not a good combination. Even here in NM, it's too cold for me.

MistressDarkArt -> RE: March Roll Call (3/2/2013 8:07:47 PM)

Congratulations on the dungeon LP! Too late to join y'all for dinner? It sounds so delicious! And you know I'll bring c h o c o l a t e...

Well, the end of an era has arrived. I sold the Sunrader yesterday after 10 years of camping, naps, traveling to contras, and housing guests there. It seems like just yesterday S and I were putting love notes on every Toyota motor home we could find looking for 'the one'. Now 'the one' belongs to another family. I took the first phone call at 10:30 a.m. By noon, it was gone and the buyer offered more than the asking price to beat out a person who showed up just as he was having a look.

I am salivating over a Salterelle button accordion after I heard one at a house concert last weekend. I've been through 3 accordions in search of that elusive sound. Funny, it costs about the same as what I got for the camper! [8D] So if anyone reading has a swing-tuned Bouebe or Nuage BC gathering dust in your closet, I'm ready to buy! Feel free to pm on the other side if you know of one available.

FlyingK visited again this week. Such a nice man. We had a great time at the local hot springs and biking along the north coast. Stellar weather and once again, too much food. He found a bike shop for sale in my town and is looking into expanding his bay area operation.

All else is well!

LaTigresse -> RE: March Roll Call (3/2/2013 8:32:02 PM)

Doing okay here. This time of here is always difficult for me. Sick of winter and it doesn't feel close to spring at all. Sick of shoveling snow and another storm is bearing down on us Monday.

On a lighter note, the new job is going well. It was a more difficult adjustment than I expected in a weird unexpected way. That saying 'Be careful what you wish for.......' Well, it's true. But I am okay with it. It's been a really good life learning experience for me. I work with good people that unknowingly, have made it far easier than it could have been. Unfortunately, my previous boss was very upset at my leaving and I fear I've lost a good friend. Not a surprise but still, a sadness.

My daughter and her husband have split and I am sure it's for good. Unfortunately she married a guy too much like her biological father. Generic Dude and I saw it from the beginning but it was a life lesson she had to learn on her own. It's hard for her now, but she's stronger than she knows. She will be okay.

My son is too much like his mother and is being quite an asshole at the moment. I've not been able to see my grandsons since Thanksgiving and not much before that. It's misery for me but I am confident it will all work out. Somehow.

I am still communicating with a delightful young lady on the east coast. Whether anything comes of it........we will see. I genuinely like her and feel if she lived closer, something wonderful would be happening. Distance being what it is, hard to say. I've been down this road before and it rarely works.

Which leads to, a dear friend that has been one of the few women that made that effort. What she went through to come to me......just wow. And, she and Generic Dude got a long so well. Staying up late watching old monster movies while I slept. Unfortunately, life being what it can be, there just was no real way she could move here. We've kept in touch off and on. Right now more on. It's just so wonderful to have friends like she's been. We get each other, accept one another as we are, adore one another in spite of our crap. And........her ass would be too sore to sit on if she lived a few thousand miles closer and she knows it. Not to mention, I'd end up owning it.

The photography biz has picked up and I am loving having more free time to devote to it.

Generic Dude is doing well, aside from being sick a lot this winter. Nothing serious at all, just the cold and flu stuff off and on. Makes him grumpy as hell. Especially since I've avoided all of it. Fortunately, he still puts up with me fabulously. His business is growing which is wonderful to see.

TheLilSquaw -> RE: March Roll Call (3/2/2013 8:37:04 PM)

LP, I'm glad the dungeon is finished and the taco salad bar sounds YUMMY!.

Things for me are going wonderful. I am in an amazing place personally.

I am considering opening a brand new venture in the next couple of months. I also had a woman approach me yesterday about helping her start her own fetish website. One of my favorite footie photographers hit me up for a booking next weekend.

I had some wonderful sessions with one of my subs this week that were caught on camera.

I've lost more inches in my waist, bust, thighs, and hips!

NiceButMeanGirl -> RE: March Roll Call (3/2/2013 9:15:23 PM)

Wow, LadyP, that is so cool the dungeon is finished and the dinner menu sounds scrumptious!!

It's great to hear how everyone is doing.

I've started a preparatory eating regimen for before my prospective gastric-bypass and I can't believe how full I always feel, yet I've lost 6.4 lbs in the last two weeks without even trying. Other than that, I got stood up on a date last night so I took myself out on the aborted date and had a good time anyway. haha

That is a wonderful start.

Been fairly infrequent here the last couple of years. Consumed with caring for terminally ill family members, two which passed, a third finishing a chemotherapy regimen and doing remarkably well. Momma said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this my Momma said. And she was correct, preparing me for the care and service of others, that I would find my own fulfillment in such.

But I come not to share misfortune or seek the pity of the collarme hive, no, I come to share that I shall now offer at Amazon.com, chia's* *Fragrant Dungeon Delight Air Fresheners*, for that after the Mexican buffet play. Easy Flex Pay available for such exciting scents as, Leather Lavender, Daisy Chain Chain Chain, and that crowd favorite, Whiff of Whipped Wallflowers. Free with any order of three, our spectacular fashion forward "I Munch Therefore I Am" cotton *poly*Ester reversible Tee. While supplies last.

ROFL ... heck, it is 17 degrees in Michigan this morning ... i can only imagine what is is in Fairbanks (and i only assume that is where LP is)

Alaska is a big state, with 5 different climate zones (as i recall). But all are very beautiful.

Dark Steven, I can only suspect, you are most interested in relocating for the party. No? [;)]

Cause actually, i was too! [:D]

ShaharThorne -> RE: March Roll Call (3/3/2013 8:25:39 AM)

I finally broke down and started cleaning my room...I am a mini hoarder when it comes to books. Mom is the same way. I am keeping my favor authors though and when there is enough room, I am getting the books out of Grandma's house. I know I got at least 3 boxes in there, some of which can be put on sale, some joining their companions on the big case. Mom also wants the DVDs out but they barely have 2 shelves in one case and I got a couple of seasons that I want to watch (True Blood season 4 and Roar with Heath Ledger). Lizard is going to get the entire Harry Potter series.

I am going down to Austin on the 11th to be with Lizard and I asked Bo if he wanted me to use his refund card to get her a new bed. The springs are poking through and cutting her. He said yes because I am the go to person when I am down there. I get the shit done depending on what it is. Take Lizard to the doctors, replenish the staple foods in the pantry, help clean up the place (I get the dishes done because I cannot stand a dirty kitchen). At least I don't have to shampoo the floor...he did that yesterday. Lizard and I are going to go see OZ at the theater.

Lizard did have to drop Japanese and English Comp. She wants to pour all her attention into her math class so she can get an A in it and her theater class she is doing good in. She is going to take French instead since she took it in high school and she has an easier understanding of it.

A neighbor of ours came down and replaced the rickety steps for us. All we had to do is pay for the lumber which was $150. We were about to go see him with the money when he pulled into the drive...don't know whose ESP was working...LOL! Now I can go up the steps without worrying if I will fall down.

Now if it would just quit being cold...we planted some rose bushes last Sunday and had to put plastic and buckets over them to keep the frost off.

Woah, LadyP! That is awesome :D congrats on the dungeon. ^_^ I hope the opening went well. ^_^

chia - very sorry to hear about the family members; it's great that they have someone to care for them, and you have a wonderful outlook it seems. :)

As for what I'm up to, not too much. Working, though everything at my job is changing, and almost all of it is in ways I don't too much like. Redecorating and getting to work on a dedicated craft/painting room. Getting my dog in for his annual check up, exercising and eating better, and just trying to find ways to be happy.

LadyPact -> RE: March Roll Call (3/3/2013 12:10:46 PM)

I am one tired puppy! Meaning to say that the opening went great! It was an absolute blast.

This was really a rather big deal to Me. As I was getting ready for folks to arrive, I started thinking about what a dream this was for Me and just how many folks in My life have touched Me in one way or another since I first got it into My head. All the other places I'd been to and how they were a part of Me in the process.

I'm not one to wear My cover often but last night was a fitting occasion. (It's kind of a symbolic thing for a leather person.) One of the guests who has been trying to work on learning about leather asked Me about the history of My cap and that story being told seemed very appropriate before we all headed down to play. I was kind of choked up about it, so I fumbled a lot, but man, it made for a perfect preamble for the first party here.

TNDommeK -> RE: March Roll Call (3/3/2013 6:42:13 PM)
