Can anyone please help me set this up? i have downloaded colloquy and turbo irc but i cant actually get to the chat room, or even find it. I am new to ipads and colloquy. Totally lost. Any guidance or tips would be so appreciated.

Thanks. Hope all are having a pleasant evening.

While I don't personally use the chatrooms, the server address is chat.collarme.com and the port is IRC's standard 6667. I think you need your username and password from the Collarme Chatroom page to authenticate as well.

Quickly looking at TurboIRC's free, but less than perfect interface, the steps to set it up would be:
  1. Press "Connect", then press the "New Server" button.
  2. Select the newly added server's table cell at the bottom of the list and choose "Edit" from the options.
  3. Enter your info for the Address (chat.collarme.com), Nick, Username and Password* fields. The other defaults should be okay, although you could give the server a more recognizable name than "Server" if you want.
  4. Press the "Done" button.
  5. Press "Connect", then select the new server again and choose "Connect" from the options.
  6. Wait for the connection to be established.
  7. From "Join a channel" press "Retrieve List of Channels"
*It looks like there is a bug in the current version of TurboIRC where you will actually need to enter your password into the adjacent "Real Name" field rather than the "Password" field… someone got their IBOutlets confused.

I don't have the iPad version of Colloquy to test with, but the basic idea of specifying the server and your login info should be similar.
