PeonForHer -> RE: Problems with crime? just use pom-poms (3/8/2013 6:14:57 AM)

"In 2009, Layton Burroughs Residents Association used bright pink lights in a Mansfield underpass to drive out unwanted loitering teenagers. The bright pink lights - also used by beauticians to highlight blemishes - were said to have a 'calming' effect on residents, and were also seen as 'uncool' by teens - not least because the bright beams showed up their acne." I loved that. *Cackle* I kind of get the psychology of those fluffy pom poms, though. An ex GF of mine used to keep a packet of tampons on the dashboard of her car, in the belief that a) most car thieves were adolescent boys and b) that they'd see her car as 'yucky female and uncool'.
