TFB-Get a notebook and write all of it down. Then look at the clock. Seriously, what else do you have to do?

You forget to look at a clock? Then how are you going to remember to set the buzzer?

Stop looking for ways to spend money.

I do not have a cell phone.

I want a digital timer I could program with different times to go off, like say 2 hours after eating, and that i can also set for every day same time a day, and maybe have different tones for each alarm, or maybe if it could speak that would be great. I am trying to start remembering things that i would other wise never remember, like testing bs 2 hours after eating, and watering the plants, and taking pills and so on and so forth.

I eat at specific times.
8, 11, 2, and 6

If you eat at specific times every day, it will be easier to remember to do things like test your blood sugar. Also you can leave yourself notes like, " Don't forget to test your blood sugar at (insert times). " If you post the notes where you will see them periodically through out the day, you will be be reminded. Plus it cheap, heck almost free (perhaps a couple pieces of paper and tape) and if power goes out you don't loose your timer.

I like that schedule!

No, I don't have a lot of responsibilities. but I do want to start remembering to do a few things for the good of the general house, like clean the bathroom, and do the dishes, and certainly do my own dishes after our meal, my mom always says don't worry leave them there I will do them later. And I want to help my dad with his garden, and mine when it gets started, and maybe go out and talk to the turkies every day. They're super friendly, and it's a shame not to go talk to them while they're alive.

And I want to get in the habit of brushing Calley may every day. and brushing her teeth. We could prolly include that into the exercise portion of the day.

I would think that you should look into other methods.

Stuff you do every day? Write a list and put it in a place that you are prone to look. Consider a spot like above your computer since you seem to be on yours frequently. For daily stuff, you don't need anything more than an egg timer. Let's say it goes like this:

8:00 AM - Breakfast and meds. Set the timer for the next task.

9:00 AM - Start of the business day. Call case workers and such. Set timer.

10:00 AM - Test blood sugar. Set timer for the next task.

11:00 AM - Exorcize, shower, and personal hygiene. Set timer for next task.

12:00 - Lunch. After lunch comes household chores. If a living area such as a bathroom needs cleaned, this is the time for it.

1:00 PM - Personal time. Follow up on ticket to work program and other necessary calls/appointments. Set timer.

2:00 PM - Off phone/computer. Water plants. Followed immediately by blood sugar check. Set timer.

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Set these blocks, when possible for further education. When necessary, set appointments (docs, SSI, etc.) during this time. If nothing else is in this time period, accomplish tasks like laundry, vacuum, etc.

5:00 PM - Dinner/Family time

6:00 PM - Clean up. Assist with dishes as necessary. Pick one thing/area to straighten up to make the house more pleasant.

7:00 PM and beyond - Free time until bed.

Schedule adjusts for weekends and holidays. You don't need to try calling case workers on weekends.

Other than that, you don't really have a ton of responsibilities. Watering your own plants shouldn't be that much of a difficulty.

When I was a stay at home mom with Lizard, I wrote down what chores to do and check them off when done. Laundry was daily, dishes was daily, clothes was every other day, feeding the bottomless pit (Lizard)...When she was napping, I swept and mopped the living room and kitchen. Vacuum the bedrooms daily after Bo left for work while Lizard was in her playpen (I let her watch "Kindred, the Embraced" when it was on TV).

Your average smart phone can be programmed with several alarm sequences.

She doesn't have one MercTech which is why I suggested the app for her computer. Hopefully it will be able to help her.

I admit I have alarms on my iphone for just about everything. I have one so I remember to take my meds. I have many others to remind me of small stuff around the house that I keep forgetting to get around to. If I complete it, I delete it from my phone and reset all the others before I go to bed and start again in the morning.

I used to use post it notes but I would forget about the post its or forget that I even read them. With the alarms, I can set them to ring throughout the day to remind me.

I now have ones I put on to remind me to practice using SharePoint everyday for my new job and another to set when all my class stuff is due and to remind me at least two days ahead of when it is due and then 3 hours before due, two hours before and one hour before. If I still forget, then obviously something is going on with me. It also helps me to keep track of just how bad my depression is getting and I need to rectify the situation before it gets worse.
