I have found out being yourself will work really well.  Sometimes it may be a waste of time...in instances where the person "poofs" out of existence miraculously. 
When someone expects you to call them Sir for the initial conversation...you tell them you won't (for whatever reason)...oh you'll find out who's fake real quick.
Unfortunately I really don't think or put tooo much into talking to someone for the simple fact that they may be nowhere to be found again.  So the more I talk to the person, the more confident i become in believing they are real.  Apart from that....I like the entertainment.

 I find meeting people face to face at munchs/socials/meetings eliminates the- I am hiding behind a screen on the internet b.s.  It's amazing how much more polite people are when they are no longer anonymous.

Yes, they can be. Some of us are stuck with local communities that are couple biased, though, so its not always an option.

Grins... Match makers abound even at couples munches. Even in BDSM circles it is hard not to run into one person who will say.. "Oh, you have to meet so and so you would just be perfect for each other, come to dinner on ..."As people get to know you, they will often try to match you up.

Try checking out the journal entries as well, not just the profiles. There is also a link on the profile page to any forum postings they have done.

I woud agree, going to Fetish Munches and social gatherings is the best way to meeting others who are into this lifestyle.  Face to Face is better then behind the computer screen
