Girl! Go to pintrest.com
There are a million and one ideas over there. Just type "cleaning" in the search.

There is no problem that can't be solved with the proper application of explosives.

We've got a tenants inspection next week and my daughter, with that marvelous sense of timing toddlers have, has managed to somehow really grind some raisins into my living room carpet today, in a very conspicuous spot. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the sticky stuff out of the fabric? It seems like a pretty tough hard-wearing material but I have no idea what it's made of.

And while we're on that subject, I'd love it if you would share any ingenious little tips you have about cleaning and housekeeping in general. The type of stuff your granny would tell you. Any sort of time saving tricks, ways to get things extra clean, thrifty ideas... anything. I've got my little routine for getting the basics done every day, but it's spring cleaning time and I want this place to GLEAM.

Soak the shit out of the area with water, cover the area with 4 or 5 layers of towels, all with hot water, drenched.

Tomorrow morning, vacuum it all up. The raisins will turn to gum.

Watever stains are left will wash out with plain hot water.

I use Awesome for most cleaning jobs.

I even have the guys at work using it. Every day, they are looking for the Awesome.

I have to buy them some more tomorrow.

I would only recommend flylady if you don't mind being slammed with tons of email on a daily basis.

I found the emails annoying.

Thank you everyone. I've never heard of flylady, and can't believe I didn't think of pinterest!
