There are far less demeaning ways to give money to the needy... It always irks me when people use disadvantaged people for their personal gain, be it a politician staging a photo-shoot in the ghetto or a kid who wants to show off his magic skills.

I don't know, the homeless guy looked pretty entertained by the whole thing, I don't think he was terribly offended

That looked like more than two cents. ;-)

Wish I could have understood what they were both saying.

Huffington Post gave a little bit of a translation:

"This is for you," the street magician says in the video. Suddenly, the cup is nearly overflowing with coins.

"I have never… How the f** did you do this?" the homeless man says. "Oh my… Oh f**… I'm 55 and I have never seen a miracle like this. Thank you! Mother of God bless you."

Ah - ta, DC.

Hell, that man looked a lot older than 55. But I imagine street-life isn't conducive to a youthful appearance. Poor sod.

Fun to watch but I believe it was a set up from the beginning for video... The cup of liquid replaced with a cup of change digitally… All scripted.
