TricklessMagic -> RE: Rate of gun ownership down.....in US. (3/13/2013 7:21:03 PM)

I can believe it. We' had a growing population from immigration and cities have grown in population as well. What hasn't grown in population is the rural areas of this country. Different populaces have different priorities, and the urban city dwellers seem to have to deal with a lot of expenses and taxes, not to mention that many cities have onerous anti-gun policies to discourage gun ownership. Frankly as a gun owner I'm gladdened by this. As crime and gun ownership in this country shrinks, the legislation to further destroy the Bill of Rights has less and less legitimacy. Granted I look at the population of gun owners versus non-gun owners. I've seen little that isn't expendable from what non-gun owners have to offer as far as people and contributions so I rarely value the opinions of those who decry gun ownership. I rarely see non-gun owners in positions of note or ownership of companies. In fact many of the doctors, lawyers, and business owners that I know own guns. Anti-American sentiment, beliefs, and policies have been growing in this country for quite some time. Many of those who share in the before mentioned are anti-gun. And for them to go unarmed, I again am gladdened. On any given day I would say sixty percent of the American population is made up of cowards and would-be slaves (and not the kinky kind no matter how much they wish to ensure the security and survival or rapists, murderers, and other criminals), I wonder how many of them go unarmed, the more the better I say should there ever be a settling of accounts. So I am gladdened by this news, go my liberals, my lefties, Anti-Americans, do not buy guns, go unarmed, please, for if there ever is a reckoning, there will be a need for food and slaves, best you make it easiest on us who go armed to take of you what we want and need.
