Addressing DomYngBLK
Your basic premise is off the rails on two points: 1. Liberals haven't asked to disarm Americans. Not in the least. 2. Hate breeds hate. All of these groups Hate something or someone. Its not healthy for any society.
So I challenged you and everyone on point 1 and your come back is to go straight to immaturity. Uh-huh. Well I wasn't "crying" maybe you don't know what that word means, might want to google it. Now I could go into the implications of your statements but your lack of maturity has demonstrated that its pointless to do so. You have your position, I have mine, oh well. I think we just have to admit that when challenged about the whole ban/disarm/taking bit about guns. There are just a bunch of folks who want to do so but they don't necessarily have the courage to come straight out and say it. Instead they'll attempt to lie and deflect till they are called to the floor with facts. Now DomYngBlk had the courage to finally come out and state his stance, good for him, he is welcome to his opinion. But for him to make his point 1 and then fail to back it up or admit he was wrong, simply shows there is no reason to give anymore credence to his contributions in this matter. To DesideriScuri in regards to DomYngBlk, you know these types. You know where they stand. You know it's a waste of energy to argue with them. Yes we assume based by his statements and pic he is a strong and healthy young male who advocates, seemingly, law of the jungle. Survival of the fittest. If you are elderly, pre-pubescent, medically disabled, and you are victimized, based upon DomYngBlk's statements, if you are victimized you deserve it. Hmmm so all those African Americans that were enslaved till 1864, exploited, abused, murdered, and raped, whom were only liberated when lots of people used guns to fight not just a Civil War, but to also enforce the Reconstruction Era and turn the south into military occupied and managed areas, and then those African Americans who were later lynched and murdered, again going by DomYngBlk's statements, deserved what they got. Wow, just wow. Now to address JeffBC. Seriously?
I have a serious question for you intended to probe boundary conditions. What's your thought on individual ownership of gene-engineered biologicals in a weaponized package? Are you up for your neighbor having tools which will absolutely kill millions if not billions if used?
Okay I'm going to assume you assume I'm a complete fool and play this through. But first, how is there any kind of parallel between a gene-?engineered biological weapon and a gun, let's say a machine gun. Let's use a machine gun for an example, let's use a BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) and let's give it a thirty round magazine, and the firearm uses the venerable .30-06, a dandy of a round. The BAR's shelf life without maintenance and continuous use runs out at thirty thousand rounds or so. I'm assuming continuous use in this situation and the BAR's rifle failed typically around three thousand rounds when used continuously in the course of 24 hours, a hard lesson learned during Viet Nam, it's a great rifle but it's terrible as a Light Machine Gun. The Bren Gun is far superior as an LMG. So going forward with this point, a madman grabs a BAR and starts randomly killing people in say a crowded mall. Eventually the mall will be evacuated, but we can figure for at least a hundred dead. The cops will eventually arrive, surround the gun man and eliminate him. Now this is assuming there is no one with a CWP or off duty police officer moving to engage the gunman. This happened a few years back where a gunman used a semi-automatic rifle with asethic features that made it an "Assault Weapon" as labeled by the liberal press. An off duty policeman engaged the gunman with a 1911 .45 ACP with an eight shot mag and kept the gunman occupied till more heavily armed officers arrived (the event was demonstration on while you need reloads). A few people were unfortunately killed. Then you have another event http://www.kgw.com/news/Clackamas-man-armed-confronts-mall-shooter-183593571.html but once the gunman met a gun carrier, he offed himself. So good guys with guns seem to stop bad guys when it comes to guns. Now let's look at biological weapons. Biological weapons are undetectable by and large and require some of the most rare experts to combat them, and are completely indiscriminate. In the guns scenario, good guys can combat bad guys on potentially even playing field unless you live in an Anti-RKBA state or City, or D.C., you're just plain fucked if a gunman goes wild because as some people found out in NYC not too long ago, if the gunman doesn't get you the cops who can't shoot for shit will get you shot. Biological weapons can fester and reproduce on their own as well as mutate to become more resistant, guns can't and certainly don't because if they could I would cross-breed a BAR with a Ruger Mini-14 and have it mutate into a caseless ammunition system. A more apt parallel would have been an RPG or flamethrower. Next thing I know you'll try the tired Red-Herring of nuclear arms "TIRED". Alright who's next?
