The fat bitch comment wasn't the greatest moment of my day. Considering the source though, it's probably a compliment to be called that by such a dumb loser.

Saywhut? Really? Lame.

Also, if that's the best he can do, you clearly are right in taking it as a compliment. The only time it's worth it to just stop at "bitch" is when you're referring to a nun (yeah...been there, done that, I had my reasons...good ones, I tell ya). [8D]

I get that alot too, the any luck here thing. I also get, how can you not be taken?

I always say that my not being taken reflects the fact that I prefer to wait for Mr. Right, rather than Mr. Right Now.

Yup. So perhaps next time I should respond with something like "Luck as in discovering that the man of my dreams has a profile on this site? Can't say that has happened yet."

I would not have guessed that this would be upsetting. When I send flyer emails to the a random profile that strikes me, I often say things like "good luck in your search" or some such thing. (As a closing pleasantry.) Its funny though, women have irritating things in the mailbox, men have nothing in theirs. It makes it difficult to understand the other side.

I think using "good luck in your search" as a closing pleasantry is a lot different than trying to open a conversation by asking if a person has had any luck. I can only speak for Myself, but it comes across as something that was just written because the sender doesn't have anything more imaginative to say.

As for understanding the other side, I would have to think you would be in a good position to do so. If I remember correctly, you have a female Dominant in your life. Perhaps she would be willing to open a profile here so you can see for yourself?

I don't really get irritated by the question, although I don't recall it being used as the opening line too often. It has sometimes generated conversation between me and another, as we both vented about the number of people on the other side who are NOT a good fit. So, in short, the "any luck?" question doesn't bother me much.

The last time someone here asked me if I had any luck, my response was:
Yes, until I read your pointless question.
