She wasn't a jogger. Just a lady in her 60's who loved working in her garden, out taking her regular morning walk. The media does love latching on to their version of reality, though. According to local coverage (I'd link, but the site requires a subscription), when she started taking the daily walks, she would carry a big stick, but when she never needed it, she stopped doing that. It's a horrible tragedy, and a horrific way to die.
