Oh god just make weed legal already and tax it for those who don't grow it for themselves. If it was legal I'd smoke it. It's a healthier alternative to alcohol abuse. Use part of the tax proceeds to create drug abuse prevention and counseling programs to help those who can't manage their addictions and call it a day. It's found to help those with a variety of medical problems and is no more unhealthy and possibly less harmful than tobacco use.

Actually....pot`s been decriminalized in NY.

The DUI is another matter.

Wait... since when did that matter? I want to see the DEA busting in this guys door at 2 in the morning with a battering ram, shooting any pets in site screaming and yelling the whole time then drag the guy into federal court. Let's not jump to conclusions now. I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation: for example, the assemblyman spends his nights fighting crime and wanted to dispose the confiscated drugs in a safe and environmentally friendly matter. Or he was trying to get to know his enemy by ingesting it so he could better fight the spread of marijuana. (Much like V did in the "V for Vendetta" comic book.)

Of course there is a reasonable explanation. An elected local legislator, in a state assembly, likes to get a little high, got stupid about it, and was given a ticket.

Perhaps the Gray Lady is feeling a little shame from the blatant partisanship of their standard coverage. You only have to read past the headline, and to the end of the third paragraph, to find out this fucking maniac was an elected Democrat. Of course, the part where he physically fought with the cops, and tried to get the gun of an officer still doesn't seem to be news that is fit to print.

I dunno guys, our wonderful President gets a pass for past drug use, in fact it's been treated as a badge of honor. I say throw the book at the NY dumbass for driving while chooming.
