Hello, everyone. My question is pretty straightforward: how does one become a house slave for a professional dungeon? It is an application and interview process as with any other job or is there more to it than that? Also, where would one look to find dungeons in need of house slaves?

The likelyhood of a job working for a pro is even smaller than the number of dungeons nationally. Figure each major city has 6 maximum (like LA& NY), no idea where you are located & pretty much guarantee they won't pay you. So there ya go.
500 options nationally out of 2 million kinksters in the US, think playing in the rain for lightening or lotto has better odds.

Thank you for your quick and honest response.

I'm not looking to, nor do I expect to get paid, so there's no problem there. And I'm in NYC, so there are a handful of dungeons here. I understand the chances are slim as I'm sure there are plenty of subs who would kill for that opportunity, but surely there must be some advice someone can give me to help me out a little bit.

Guessing they have pro clients that pay for the priviledge. Again reality intrudes. If you are serious about submission try a munch, not some over dramatized fantasy in your head. It will never be Lady Heathers playhouse where you get to watch everything going on.

I think Rose is right - most likely people pay for the honor of cleaning the place. On the other hand, there are probably certain things they do themselves or hire a professional for to make sure it is done up to perfect hygiene standards. So perhaps you could contact them and emphasize your high-quality professional level cleaning techniques and that you are willing to do a professional deep clean for free... but I'm guessing this probably isn't your profession, right?

Here's an idea....contact your local dungeons and ask them what you might d to get into the position you want to be in. Some may actually have submissive employees that do what it is you want and as such an application process etc. Some may tell you that paying clients take care of whatever it is they need done. Some may have personaly slaves...etc etc.
There is NO WAY we on CM have the ability to answer that question for any of the dungeons near you.

BTW, if you do find what it is you're looking for, don't expect it to be all sunshine and roses. Hope you find it though ;)

If I wanted to make this happen, I would: Patronize an establishment a few times, offer to wash the dishes or take out the trash as part of your session, then, once they know you're actually a hard worker, ask about the possibility of being a house slave, like spending every Saturday cleaning up, or whatever.

Unlike some other commenters, I don't actually think this would be too hard to find, especially if you have a skill like carpentry. Lots of pros have notes in their profiles about skilled workers they are looking for.

The key point though is: no expectation of free play. If what you mean by "house slave" is "man who gets used and abused all the time," then you're more likely to get that through a couple porn subscriptions.

I don't know if there is such a thing as paid dungeon slaves or not. We are in the process of trying to find a place to have a public dungeon locally and I have volunteered to help, via building, painting, cleaning, organizing and working at the door. But I'm volunteering, not getting paid.

As someone who worked in a NYC dungeon for two years (and i see you are in NY) I can tell you the chances are pretty slim. The dungeon I worked at did not allow house slaves yet we constantly got calls from people begging to be allowed to offer their services. I have heard of a few other dungeons having dungeon slaves but i believe these were people who already knew people who worked there, former clients, and people who had been around in the scene for years. You can google some and try giving them a call to ask, but don't get your hopes up.

If you listen to my cousin who recently moved, buying a house pretty much makes you a slave automatically. She always talks about her list of projects. So....maybe look into that?

Seriously though, absent a good relationship with the people running a dungeon/play space/whatever, I would imagine it's highly unlikely or at least not without first investing a lot of time and effort into building towards the goal, knowing that it is totally possible it won't happen.

I worked at Salon de Sade in NYC until recently, and they had a houseboy application process. I'm sure some of the other dungeons in the area have something similar.

I was never involved in it so I'm fuzzy on the details. I know they make you pay $30 or $40 for your trial run but will allow you to come for free after you prove yourself. They're pretty fussy about who even gets that chance, so be on your absolute best behavior. E-mail ahead with a list of skills and ask if they're currently looking. If you're lucky and you clean well and don't creep out the Mistresses, you may become one of the lucky few!
