FR

Flesh out your profile more with vanilla as well as kink. As it stands now, it is essentially blank.

Describe the woman you are looking for (who is she? what personality characteristics? Non-kinky things you hope to share with her). Describe the type of relationship you are looking for. Describe yourself (what type of personality do you have? Do you have a job? Do you like it? Does it define you? What do you like to do in your spare time?).

When you have done all that, copy/paste it into a word processing program and do both a grammar and a spell check then put it back into your profile. Have a picture of yourself, clothed, doing things you like to do in public. If the domme wants a picture of you nude, give it to her then and not before (if she wants it she will ask for it). Most women don't want a guy's dangly bits pushed into our faces before we actually get to know him.

Make an account at Fetlife and check out events in your area. Don't make your search entirely cyber unless that is what you want. If you are only looking for cyber, then prepare to open your wallet.

ETA: Welcome to the discussion boards. You post probably belongs in the Introduce Yourself forum. I'm sure the mods will be around shortly to move this. DON'T post another in there. You'll cause more work for the mods and you'll probably start to piss them off.

Dan,

You need to fill in your profile. Make it mostly about those aspects of yourself *other* than your kink interests. Don't go on about how you want to be a 'slave to a Goddess' etc, etc. That is, make it about your personality: what you like to do; hobbies, sports and so on. Inject a bit of humour if you can. In general always talk to women (here on these forums, as well as when you make contact with them on their profiles) as people first - just as you would at a pub or anywhere else.

I hope you live in a good part of Sutton. Not a bad place - I used to visit it often. ;-)

By the way, 'Dom' refers to male dominants; 'Domme' to female dominants. Just an internet convention, but one that's pretty established now.

I always figured it had to be an internet thing because at least the way I say them they both sound identical in speech. It'd be a pretty pointless real world distinction.

There is no such word as "Domme"- it was invented in the internet rush into BDSM. the words are "Dominant" and "Domina".

Not really accurate. 'Dominant' is gender-neutral. Domme exists as a word and has a lot of currency, obviously, though 'Domina' sounds classier than 'Domme'.

Heh, now THOSE words make a lot more sense from a "speech" standpoint. Although I'd argue there is in fact such as domme now. Natural languages are like that.

I can't understand why Americans, particularly, use the words 'Dom' or 'Domme' - surely they'd both sound like the word 'dumb' the way they're pronounced there?

"Dahm"

LOL, but in an awful lot of cases I think there might be more truth in advertising with "dumb"

Hadn't thought about the Domina vs Domme thing before; however ... the whole point of language is to convey, in and of itself, an idea ... so, both make sense from a gender focus standpoint.

As for the OP "Uk london sub male looking", the line forms over here =======> san jose male looking, san francisco male looking, denver male looking, atlanta male looking, phoenix male looking, washington male looking, trenton male looking, etc.

Yes, it belongs in Intros. When folks suggested that you look for events, they didn't mean put your personal ad in there, too. It means use the search feature to see if there are events in your area.

Then, (and here's the kicker) you go out and meet like minded people. A lot of people, especially males who believe they are submissive, create a profile and think women are going to flock to them if they bring some attention to themselves. (Even if it's negative attention by plastering the discussion forums with a person ads.) It doesn't really work like that. There's a lot more to it than saying "here I am" and that's the end of the effort on your part.

Find munches in your area and get out and see what the kinky side of life is like.
