I don't consider myself particularly strict, though I've been told different more than once.
The thing is, I have some basic rules, and do pay attention to a sub's public behavior, to see if he's respectful to other people's rules in public. Mostly I try to connect with people who can think follow simple logic, and possess some common sense.

I allow for an occasional error, if it appears the person did not have prior information from me, or didn't have the time/ability to confer with me, before making the decision, or acting on the decision. If I find random disobedience, or behavior to manipulate me into doing what he wants, than it is time to have one last conversation about his willingness/ability to obey. As LaT said, I want, what I want, when I want it! I will always allow for discussion of the request, and the potential for a mutual agreement about the process. If however, the discussion does not persuade me to change my mind, than obedience/adherence is a must. End of discussion. M

When I first thought about this question my first reaction was "No, not really", but upon further reflection I'm actually very strict and demanding about the things that are important to me I've just never been in a long term D/s relationship yet, so it's still a bit hypothetical. I do believe I'm fairly laid back, I'm definitely not high protocol, but I DO NOT have patience to deal with wankers or time wasters. Lord, the amount of men who absolutely can not listen to what I'm saying when we're discussing my expectations is astounding. I am a bit more into proactive service than I am obedience, so I don't tend to have a lot of rules to follow, but I do expect that things are going to go the way I want, at my pace and that there will be lots of open and honest communication.

Good afternoon,
I consider myself strict but fair, if I assign a submissive a task or instruct them on the correct way to complete an assignment I have given them I expect them to follow those instructions. If those instructions are not met, and met on time and to my sanctification they will be punished, however I am also willing to take certain circumstances into consideration as well. While I am far from lenient, I would not be as harsh as if their were no reasonable interference to consider.
