ORIGINAL: Hillwilliam I don't see the post as racist. The word "black' is being used as a descriptive term, not as a perjorative. Is "That tall black gentleman at the next table bought a house from me last week" a racist sentence? There is also nothing in the post that indicates people of any ethnic persuasion are overall more likely to have any quality (good or bad) versus people of other ethnic persuasions. The point could have been equally made without mentioning the colour of the rapist. You are entitled to your view as I am to mine. If it's a particular person, how are you going to describe him or her otherwise? "A person robbed me" won't give the cops much to go on. Descriptive terms such as male, female, blonde, dark haired, blue eyes, brown eyes, short, tall, heavy, skinny, black, asian, white, long hair, short hair, bald, muscular are just descriptive terms when referring to an individual. How many criminals do you think would be captured if a person was not allowed to describe an assailant? Instead of putting mugshots or drawings on "Be on the lookout" posters, let's just go totally politically correct and put fucking smiley faces on all of them. A nice lesson in how to miss the point. Maybe I'm hitting the point exactly. One totally asinine accusation "you have blood on your hands if you're a gun owner" Deserves another.
