Well, all bad habits can be broken! Honestly...I have a local Dom who kept emailing me "what's up slut". He did it once a week or so and I just would delete it... guess he got the idea because suddenly I am getting polite "how are you today? Would you like to get to know each other. I like your profile " emails... Guess what? I will politely respond "no thank you" but I have no desire to now find out if that was a stupid "look at me" line or his true demeanor... First impressions are EVERYTHING!

OK, I'm actually going to try to be helpful here.

Have you actually met any subs or slaves? I mean in the real world... where you can smell people. The reason I ask is that while I know pretty much nothing about "the community" I know enough to know that is socially rude. In the real world you address someone by the name they have given you. If you are in a smaller gathering that has some particular protocol (as a leather gathering might), then you might find some minor adjustments to that. In all cases, the wise thing to do when addressing an owned sub/slave is to address them the way their owner wants them addressed. In no case it is wise to simply address them however you want.

How that all plays out for you here is that you are best to address people by their screen name unless they give you some other name to use. About the only exception I personally have to that is I don't use honorifics simply because someone put them in their name. So if was addressing UberDarkLordMark I'd call him Mark. If I was addressing LadyPact (who I actually respect), I address her as LadyPact.

Look. Most of us here do this in the real world. I know the online world too. Heck, I ran into this all in SecondLife and I just picked up a pixel-slave a few days ago. For the most part the things you are doing look like online-isms. But this isn't an online roleplay site. The rules are different.

Think "common courtesy" and you'll do much better. As it sits, you've just told a bunch of women who don't know you at all that they ought to obey you. Surely you can see how ridiculous that is when it's not online roleplay?

So your sole experience is in fantasy and wanking?

Over here, in the message boards, we don't do cyber roleplay. That might happen in the chat rooms on the other side, but not here. Over here, most of us do this in realtime with human beings. We have actual experience and actual relationships. Several of us subs are either married or engaged to our Masters/Mistresses. OsideGirl has been married to her Master for over a decade. JeffBC has owned his wife for a long time. I've been engaged to my Master for over a year. Attempting to cyber dominate ANYONE over here just gets laughed at (in case you haven't figured that out yet).

Act like a grown up and we will treat you like one.
