One way:

"Imagine"

A different way:

"Nothing better than a dead liberal"

Which do you prefer?

FunCouple5280 -> RE: Two ways at looking at life (3/22/2013 11:37:34 AM)

Lol. What do you call this entire post? Inflamatory.

Sure you can find a crack pot on every side. I thought liberals respected those with mental disabilities? Who's discriminating now?

tazzygirl -> RE: Two ways at looking at life (3/22/2013 11:42:05 AM)

Saying conservatives dont?

FunCouple5280 -> RE: Two ways at looking at life (3/22/2013 11:46:20 AM)

nope that is universal. no side is innocent. I am pointing out the irony of his assertion. Promoting tolerance through insult and hate.

Is it insulting and hateful to publish a video of some insulting, hateful persons saying what they feel in their hearts? Or is it more tolerant to ignore people like those shown in the second video?

How about this popular item sold at the 2008 Republican Convention, and found on many bumpers of cars and trucks in predominantly Republican states? Is it more tolerant to ignore it's existance?

Great post, Flight.

It is childish logic to say you can do something because the other guy does. Ever heard: 'two wrongs don't make a right'? There may be 50 shades of evil, but they are all still evil....

It IS childish logic to say you should kill liberals or moderates because they are not conservatives - I will grant you that.

It is not necessarily childish logic to treat everyone you encounter like Anne Frank once wrote:

quote:

I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.

Or as Dr. Martin Luther King said:

quote:

In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

I get the feeling from your comments that you believe that highlighting or publicizing someone's bitterness and hatred so that all can be aware of it is somehow an act of bitterness and hatred itself.

No Directo, it is the idyllic comparison you make. You didn't say look at the hate filled woman, isn't that sad. You mock her and lump an entire group into and ideological pigeon hole based on that one individual. You also present this glorious rendition of common sense humanity (one that most people would feel is nice and fuzzy) as being solely in posession of your extremely left wing ideology.

It is evident all through your posts how blinded by partisanship you are. You are either posting to the obvious to the choir, or simply trying to insult anyone with a view point that differs from yours by lumping them with an idiot. Now that might work on the utterly clueless and naive, but I don't think you are going to find much of an audience here that doesn't already know this or is going to merely dismiss it as a result of the absurdity of the comparison. I am pretty sure you are like most lefties that get upset when a right wing hack lumps you in with crack mom that has had 8 abortions and is on welfare..... That serves no purpose as it is an absurd comparison.

Idiots who intellectually do not understand their own veiw points always resort to hate speech, right or left. Whether it is racist or just ideologically closed minded, it is the way it is.

Yeah, that's kind of my view also. But you'll quickly be accused of "being up on your moral high horse" if you actually look at the squabbling in the dirt and point out that it's not very helpful.

FunCouple5280 -> RE: Two ways at looking at life (3/22/2013 2:24:15 PM)

Yeah, so. Making that argument would merely be an attempt to obfuscate. I'll stick to my original premise.

Owner59 -> RE: Two ways at looking at life (3/22/2013 2:39:09 PM)

No one ever said there wasn`t stupidity on both sides....[8|]

The difference is quality and quantity....

As well, the stupidity from the right, is GOP lead and sanctioned ,with a 24/7/365 television broadcast media arm(faux news), broadcasting the official GOP stupidy and other talking points on th epublic airwaves.....

Nothing like that exists on the liberal side......

CNN, MSNBC, ABC ... [8|]

Chris Mathews anyone?[8D]

FunCouple5280 -> RE: Two ways at looking at life (3/22/2013 2:52:18 PM)

lol you just don't see it. MSNBC is the foil to Fox.... But if you think they have such journalistic integrity, you might want to consider how partisan your lense might be.

Besides, I hear all this whining over Fox...Do you think they do nothing more than preach to the choir....If their audience cared to hear anything other than Rush like analysis they would tune into something else. Same with MSNBC. They cater to an audience that wants to be spoon fed talking points all day long. At least both networks don't hide the bias in some kind of subconscience messaging routine. Better to have it in the open than have to find it.

Watching cable news in general will suck the intelligence right out of you rather than add to it.

just my [sm=2cents.gif]

FunCouple5280 -> RE: Two ways at looking at life (3/22/2013 3:00:21 PM)

CNN is half partisan sold as neutral, peppered with the occasional flip. Meaning you can get half of the truth out of them.

It is humorous watching the modern media trying to be objective.

At least CNN isn't always crying about the apocolypse...Glenn Beck has somehow made that an acceptable mainstream thing to do... We have ammunition specifically on the market for killing zombies......maybe all is lost.

Either we will kill ourselves with global climate change or the coming commie conspiracy will enslave us all....

Enter sweet death....[8|]

Bull shit.....

Reality,the reported news,the record, doen`t have a political bias.

MSNBC isn`t the arm of the DNC......nor do they coordinate talking points or work each other`s bullshit stories, like the GOP and fox does.

And they don`t float bullshit stories or make up shit, trying to fool people.....like fox does...

They are not equivalent or the counterpart of the bullshiting rightist media.

Oh yeah, liberals also have a war on women`s rights,[8|]oh yeah, liberals are also bashing poor folks[8|],oh yeah...liberal media is also spreading race-baiting lies, likeChuck Hagel being part of a Mulsim terrorist group....[8|]

Yup...completely the same[8|]....sure[8|]...we get it.....[8|]

FunCouple5280 -> RE: Two ways at looking at life (3/22/2013 3:49:43 PM)

NY times

When the NYTimes says you lean left you lean left.

And they don't fake shit? : Source

Whatever, to say the left doesn't have any stinky shit is pure gamesmenship. You should consider how toxic all or nothing partisanship is.
