Here is the story of Ford's bondage ads from India;

I find it interesting that they show the ropes, but not the knots. Is this for the same reason they show huge breasts with no nipples? And if they were going for a cartoonish/sexy feel, then why is one captive crying? File that under "Things that make you go hmmm."

To me, it's not even groovy from a kink standpoint.

yes tastless is right but from a political cartoon aspect i can see where it could have been amusing but not for a car ad

I've been to India, they do have strange advertising (to my UK perspective). I saw a bill board advert in the city of Bangalore from the Indian army, it basically said' join the army if you want to kill your enemies' and it had a giant cartoon image of an Indian solider driving a bayonet through an enemies (portrayed as a Pakistani) head ! Quite graphically! It was at a large intersection so would have been seen by untold amounts of people.
