Fightdirecto -> Today in Islamophobia (3/27/2013 6:49:18 AM)

Senator Frank Gaffney in the Washington Times, 3-26-2013:

quote:

Mr. Obama has now presented them with what is, arguably, his most outrageous pick to date: the nomination of Thomas Perez to become the next secretary of labor…..

One other, particularly worrisome aspect of Mr. Perez’s record that should not be implicitly, let alone explicitly, endorsed by the Senate is his enthusiastic embrace of Islamists and their causes. In October 2011, HE DID SO LITERALLY WITH SUCH ENTHUSIASM THAT HE LEAPT ONTO A STAGE AT GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ORDER TO HUG THE LEADER OF THE LARGEST MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD FRONT GROUP IN THE UNITED STATES: MOHAMED MAGID, PRESIDENT OF THE ISLAMIC SOCIETY OF NORTH AMERICA.

HIS DIVISION HAS ALSO INTERVENED IN COURT TO FORCE A SCHOOL IN ILLINOIS TO GIVE A NEW TEACHER TIME OFF WITH PAY TO MAKE THE PILGRIMAGE TO MECCA CALLED THE HAJJ.

Washington Times

Next:

quote:

BUILDING MANAGERS AND LEGISLATIVE STAFFERS HAVE SOUGHT TO REASSURE SOME CONCERNED TENNESSEE LAWMAKERS THAT RECENT RENOVATIONS AT THE STATE CAPITOL DID NOT INSTALL SPECIAL FACILITIES FOR MUSLIMS TO WASH THEIR FEET BEFORE PRAYING.

I CONFIRMED WITH THE FACILITY ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE STATE CAPITOL COMPLEX THAT THE FLOOR-LEVEL SINK INSTALLED IN THE MEN’S RESTROOM OUTSIDE THE HOUSE CHAMBER IS FOR HOUSEKEEPING USE,” Legislative Administration Director Connie Ridley wrote in an email. “IT IS, IN LAYMAN’S TERMS, A MOP SINK.

The nearly $16 million renovation completed in December focused on upgrading electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems in the more than 150-year-old Capitol. Parts of the building also got new carpets, paint and security upgrades.

Senate Clerk Russell Humphrey said he had been approached by a House and Senate member to inquire about the sink, which replaced a utility sink that had been mounted higher on the wall and was used for filling and emptying buckets.

“There was concern about why it had been modified,” said Humphrey, who declined to identify the lawmakers or elaborate on their concerns.

Sometimes A Mop Sink Is Just A Mop Sink

And lastly, Glenn Beck has figured out why Rep. Michelle Bachman was to be investigated by the House Ethics Committee for alleged misuse of campaign funds. Not because, to quote the Washington Post:

quote:

Peter Waldron, who served as Bachmann’s national field coordinator in the 2012 presidential race, has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission alleging that the lawmaker’s campaign improperly used leadership PAC funds to pay presidential campaign staff.

Washington Post

But because SHE IS THE TARGET OF A PLOT BY MEMBERS OF THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD WITHIN THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FOR BEING ANTI-ISLAM.

Beck: Bachmann Ethics Investigation Is A Muslim Brotherhood Plot

You have to admit it is a very suspicious looking mop sink.

And I am sure I read somewhere it is pointing towards Mecca, which we all know is a sure sign of .......

If this is your idea of Islamophobia, you should have titled the thread "Today in Idiocy".

The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Process" with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions....

Our friend Thomas Perez:

At a congressional hearing on July 27, 2012, Thomas Perez refused to take a stand against blasphemy laws in the United States. “Will you tell us," he was asked, "that this administration’s Department of Justice will never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion.” The question was repeated several times to no avail.

Well, if this is actually a "mop sink", I doubt it is going to be able to be kept clean enough for Muslims to wash their feet. They are pretty serious about keeping their prayer rugs pretty clean.

Now, it seems to me that the issue is about intent. Was this basin installed specifically forMuslims to wash their feet? If that is the intent then, perhaps the cafeteria at the building should only offer Halal and kosher products and should refrain from offering meat, on Fridays. I wonder how the lunatic left would react to that suggestion?

If this basin was installed to be a mop sink; if that was the intent and people want to wash their feet in it, why the blue fuck should I care what they do?

I really didn't expect this kind of "evidence" in a thread so titled but, I should have remembered what I learned about expectations, years ago.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I gotta say, I've never seen a sink like that in any bathroom I've ever been in, anywhere, on land or aboard ship.

I've never seen a "mop sink" except one that would more accurately be called a "Laundry Sink"

Peace and comfort,

Michael

That's an awfully pretty sink for mop use compared to these. I notice it has hot water too.

FunCouple5280 -> RE: Today in Islamophobia (3/27/2013 8:58:42 AM)

I think the bigger issue is that the TN government pissed that many tax dollars down the drain on such a pretty sink to wash nasty old mops. Where's the fiscal con response on that one in the legislature?

I get the idea that this sink is not hidden in some janitor's closet. So, it will have to fit in with the decor. You want to really bitch about fiscal conservation, why did they even spend the money to get indoor plumbing for that shit (pun intended)? And, how much money did they spend on the mop sink?

FunCouple5280 -> RE: Today in Islamophobia (3/27/2013 10:49:37 AM)

All valid questions

The evidence is a matter of public record and also that of the obviously lunatic right such as the Times, Beck...et al. Your expectations are a by-product of your political presumptions and prejudices and as such are of little consequence to the OP.

Now and a good thing too. It is just too much fun when watching a newspaper actually celebrate actually...losing $1 billion.

Actually most of the money went to bribes, beer, pizza and women.
