If you are only interested in socializing with people close to your own age, look for "TNG" and "Portal" in a group's name. TNG stands for The Next Generation (borrowed from the Star Trek franchise). A group called Orlando Portal was established some years ago, Tampa Portal more recently. The idea of Portal was to provide some educational and social opportunities for younger people who are relatively new to BDSM.

The Phoenix Club in Largo offers a Gateway program, which helps orient you to the local scene. Their web site is at

There is a lot going on in the Tampa Bay area. TNG, Portal, and Phoenix are great places to start.
