Status: offline 		Silly question really I guess. However a couple of lovely Switchy ladies have recently expressed an intrest in spending some time with me and my Wench. Neither has actualy used a strapon before so I'm off shopping...any recomendations? Are the strapless insertable types any good? As the two ladies in question are rather different dress sizes and so a good fit for both might be tricky.....

Why dont they do fitting services for these things?

So any good brands to go for?

Status: offline 		The Feeldoe (dunno if that's correct spelling!) is supposed to be one of the most popular name brands for strapless, but they are crazy expensive. I've never used one, but I think it might be easier for a beginner if they had a strap.

We have a strapped insertable one that's oodles of fun for both of us. We also have the standard harness that you put your own dildo into. Also fun because of the variety you can have with it. Our harness is made for bbw, and I'm extremely petite. It just happened to be on sale that day :/ You can often make a larger harness fit a smaller size, but it's more difficult to make a smaller harness fit a larger size.

Did they not give you any info about what they might want?? I'm thinking the harness size isn't the biggest worry... Does the banger even want something inside themselves? Does the bangee have a desired size or shape? Do they want it to have an attached dildo or do they want one they can change around? Do they want one that looks like a penis or one that's non-penis-y? I'd try to get some more info out of them before you make a purchase.

Both are being very coy. One is more Domme (in this scenario) than switch and being quite assertive but not stating much other than (now) nothing in them as if they're in Switch mode they'll be driving not enjoying..... the other is very much a service sub to me and defaults to whatever I want. So we're somewhere clearer.

The spareparts line just got recomended by a pro domme friend. Hmmm.

If you're just starting out, and neither one of them has any idea what they want, or even a desire to try figuring out what they want... I wouldn't go spending hardcore cash on a harness. By what you've said, they both seem to be sort of apathetic about the whole thing. I'd invest lightly and wisely to start with until they get a better grip on what their real preferences are.

Maybe if they both decide it's something they LOVE and want to do OFTEN... eh... I dunno. I'd never spend that much money on something to have sex with unless it could make me a sammich afterwards.

If you have money to burn, go for it! They look pretty sweet.

Status: offline 		I have 2 strap on Harnesses and I prefer the one with the more solid front then the one Thats all Straps ( that one can can pinch). Later on I am getting the feeladoe and try one out later to see if I enjoy them as much as my good one. I got mine on Amazon.

Status: offline 		Spare Parts is supposed to be really good - my toy wish list includes one of their harnesses. (this one) But it is a bit pricey, so I guess you have to think about how often this is going to get used.

Status: offline 		Its an intresting subject. Yeah both Ladies are keen but shy more than apathetic. Both have body image issues from being too fat/too skinny (they're both lovely sexy girls but you try telling them that. Without gagging them first).

I need a new violet wand and cam belts for the car before I spend that sort of cash so yeah something cheap to try out and see how it rolls. Or you know they can make their own purchases :-)

Status: offline 		Hi Thaz. I'll try to help but I'm a little unclear on the issue.

If you are trying to do one size fits all due to the expense factor, go strapless. You don't say anything about who is giving or receiving, or if both will be giving and receiving. On this thread, http://www.collarchat.com/m_4383501/tm.htm I have a link to the model of strapless that I've used.

Personally, since you mentioned lack of experience, etc, I'd be quicker to recommend a unit with a harness if you are dealing with, primarily, one giver and one receiver. Have you looked into the Doc Johnson Val U Lock stuff? I would definitely say that I've got My money's worth over the years.

Status: offline 		Psst....if you have a dildo with "balls" you can use plain old rope and *make* a strap on.

You'll want somethng 10' ish or longer. Nylon rope is most comfortable.
Ok, So, fold your rope in half, Wrap it around the users waist once and thread through the fold. Going the SAME direction, wrap it one more time and thread through again, making sure the rope is lined up and smooth. Now, take the loose ends of rope, thread them up through the "belt" you just made, thread your loose ends through the new loop and cinch semi tightly. That *should* be a "Foole's Cuff" knot (also known as a winch knot, but whatever LOL). (hang on, lemmie see if I can find a youtube video) Ok, now you still have loose ends to do stuff with.

Now, take your loose ends and at about pelvic bone height, make a knot, place dildo right under that knot and wrap your ends in opposite directions once or twice, nice and tightly, then make another knot at the BOTTOM of the dildo, should be right about clitoris height (mmm yummy!) take whats left of the ends and run them between wearers legs back up to the belt on the backside, tie off semi (but not uncomfortably) tightly and VIOLA! Rope strap on for less than ten bucks ;) (dildo not included LOL)

A slight variation is seperating the two loose ends before the last tie and tieing them off at the hips. That leaves some err...open spaces to uhm...*put stuff* without being blocked by rope <grin>

Rope is a great idea. I have tons of rope about the place....

Obviously they're only curious so I think the value range might be the way to go, gear freak that I am I could easily go top of the range and find it never getting used. Especially as one of them as been quite firm on not wanting anything in them at the time (messes with her head space. Shes either giving or recieving not both). She's the more average size of the two. The other is VERY intrested in any combination at all and is much much more slender.

So given we're talking experimentation DocJ seems to be a good starting position. That or Rope and DIY harness. Which has possbilities. Wednesday night is rope night in my house....oh and Luci...having avilable space to 'put stuff' is certainly on the agenda. Cheers for thinking of that ;-)

In My opinion, the harness is more important than the dong. Comfort and flexibility for the giver is *very* important. We're chicks, ok? If something doesn't fit right, we're not really happy. It can blow the entire scene.

You can always size down. You can't necessarily size up.

For your situation, one of the awesome advantages to DocJ is the vibe in the harness.

Status: offline 		Oh thanks LP. Very good to know. I think you're dead right on the harness, comfort is a must I think. I think they have the DocJ in stock at my local kink store, its a tad cheaper online but I like to support local vendors especially as I live in a rural market town not some big city. Having a local kink store is awesome even if its a little limited.
