Hi, I am new to the BDSM scene, I have been cautiously talking online with a Dom in my area. I sense that he only want to be an online Dom. We do video chat about once a week, and IM daily. When we video chat, he is wearing something on his arm, looks like some kind of device, it's black. Anybody know what this is??

He's in your area and he's not interested in meeting? My money is on him being married. Here's a good tip for you - do not enter into a dynamic with someone until you have meet him in person and have determined that there is compatibility and chemistry in real life, not just online.

Could be ipod...who knows. Ask him. If he is in your area and doesn't want to meet, chances are he is either married or playing at domination. Either way, it doesn't sound like what you want from the way I read your post. Why not look for someone who can and will do RL with you?

It's good that you are being cautious, as not everyone who has access to the internet has good intentions. I'm curious as to how you feel comfortable enough to video chat with him, but not question the device? Are you aware that video sessions can be recorded, and passed around to others for viewing? Keep being cautious, and remember, if you wouldn't do it in the course of getting to know someone in a normal relationship, there is no obligation to do so simply because someone claims to be a Dom.

Thank you everyone! He is married...we both are. I could ask him, but wanted an answer before I do, just in case he lies :) Our video chats have not been explicit, yet. So if he were to share there is nothing to see. I have no problem saying no to things I am uncomfortable with...I just like saying yes.. Hehe! I don't think It is an electronic bracelet for probation, it looked more like a sleeve type of thing. I will ask him. I have also let him know that I am NOT interested in an "Online Only" relationship. I have given him a timeframe, and if he cannot accomodate my needs in RL I will move on. :) Thanks again for all the good advice! I will be keeping it in mind! :)

When under house arrest, ankle bracelets are most commonly used. It could be an insulin pump but usually they're worn at the waist. Around here I would suspect IV for Lyme's disease but don't know where he is. It is most likely a medical device. Ask him.

Insulin pump was my guess; although they're usually worn on the abdomen, I have seen them on the arm. Or an Ipod.

She's NY State and says he's in her area. That makes me suspect chronic Lyme's and a six month regimen of IV antibiotics. Which could also be why he doesn't want to meet yet. Both the disease and the cure are pretty nasty. Online could well be all he's up to. Again, ask him.

are you serious? we did not see it since we dont cam with him....get some balls and ask him.....why do we allow questions like this when we have no clue on the who, what, where and how..........ask him and get back to us so we can give you an informed, educated answer!

Are you serious?? You sound a little jealous that you don't have this strange little device for yourself. FYI, if I am the one finding out what it is and then telling you...I would be the one providing the informed educated answer! haha! So excuse me Mister MasterOne50! The fact that she feels she can give him an ultimatum about meeting, but lacks the guts to say, "hey, what is that black thing on your arm?" coupled with their respective spouses says a lot about the future of their "relationship."

Before we rush off inot realms of fantasy... the OP said it looked like a "sleeve" My guess would be an elbow support, maybe due to an injury or a joint problem.

Oh.. and a tefilah isn't a shawl, it's a small box with a text in it, worn on the amr and forehead during morning prayers.. so unless he's wearing one on his head as well, you can rule that out...
