Greetings, i do have a few admirers on my list and i assure you it is not for stalking. i merely enjoy their journals or writing posts. This does not mean i wish to engage in a relationship with them. i also add friends who i speak with on regular basis. i do not see why some would feel insecure about another person appreciating what they do write and express. i accept it as a compliment when someone adds me to their admirer list. I seem to have gained several admirers .... some never write .. my guess is a shyness issue .. almost everyone of them I drop them a line saying I noticed I was added to their favorites and wanted to say hello ... the brave ones who actually e-mail me I always thank them for their compliments but thats just me . a friendly sort I guess

I'm for letting them lurk. I have almost 20 admires on my list and only talk to 5 out of a great friendship that has developed. The others have made no attempt to contact me and when I've contacted them there has been no response. So dont waste time. People should have the balls enough to contact another person but many are too afraid of rejection.

I only have two admirers, and one of 'em emailed me many times over a 4-week period, including 4 emails in one night - the night before we were supposed to meet for coffee last weekend. Then he stood me up and I've not heard from him since. Oh well. More where that one came from.

grins your welcome Michael , was my complete pleasure to do so. giggles as i watch the dancing and the back flips i have noticed i missed the actual question for this thread, i do apologize to the group. So, here is my quicky answer. Email the admirer if you find them interesting, if not, why bother? As for shy, i do not think i would wish to be involved with someone who is so shy they could not even write a simple note to me. Would probably be like prying information with a crowbar later in the future. If they cannot write a simple hello, how do they tell you of their needs, desires, wants, and dreams?
