Well i met Mister himself via collarme.  i've a good friend who i met on collarme - met up with... but she lives in Miami so its a bit of a drive.  There are other "doms" around here that would like to meet me.. but generally i'm either their "dream girl" or they want in my pants so i'm not really all that interested.  Girls are alot harder to meet, they tend to be flaky and full of themselves and i havent time for bitches.  i like real ppl - real honest ppl.

Tho there IS a one person i'd looooooooooove to meet from collarme - )  Finally ONE guy who isnt trying to throw me in a r/s with them or jump in my bed.  Yeah - and i will meet up with hiim eventually.  i'm thinking a TNG meeting.  i think the person would be loads of fun to hang out with.

And michael if you ever get back down here - i'd meet you up for lunch or something.  I'm generally up for meeting ppl.

Oh yeah and there's another from collarme that i wouldnt mind meeting too.  We just have to figure out how to be in the same city in florida at the same time.

that does not mean they don't make other loud and obnoxious noises, hahaha just come next door while buckwheat kitty meow's his lil head off, or when one of them yowls.

I've met a couple of people that are local, however I knew most of My local scene before I joined collarme.

I brought a female here, she comes and goes, but I introduced her to CM.

I met two and though it did not work out, I am still friendly with at least one of them.

I also went to a munch and met some cool people (heard about it ultimately through here).  I would go again, but finances make it difficult to go hang sometimes.

I have met 6 from CM. Of the 6 I still talk to two of them. I still talk to pup and a lovely lady (switch) that I met in Atlanta. All of the ones that I have met here were very nice. I am looking forward to meeting Mistress Hathor and YourMisstress. I would also like to meet Calandra and a couple others who live in Atlanta.

sadly, even though I have been on here for a long time, I have never met anyone from CM...funny thing is I make friends very easily but on here I have yet even to find any friends, let alone the slave or submissive I seek.

do you find it difficult to connect with people where you live?

So far I haven't met anyone specifically from Collarme. A few are on here, that I see from another site I am on. I have met a few from that site.
So it is not impossible to meet a real local person from Collarme.
I think I could meet quite a few from here, in realtime. But I do not  contact or  try to entice ones that are too far out of my wants.
It does really happen though.
I have met several nice ladies from online. The full fireworks didn't quite happen though. But no regrets.

When I lived in Philly, I met over a dozen people from sites like CM and alt.   Only one or two since I moved to MD, but I've also downplayed the lifestyle in priorities since I moved down here due to school (there goes the free time), plus it's a rural area in MD.   The closest munch is a 50 mile drive one way (and the one I more often go to is 70 miles).

I find that having a bdsm personal online with the hopes of meeting someone through this one and only method is rather pointless.  Most people don't communicate well enough online to come across as someone interesting to meet.  I also won't spend a lot of time talking to people online if the end result wanted is to meet - there's a small window for that to happen and if it doesn't in that time period (I give it a month from first contact), then I'm done talking to them - I'm not interested in talking to someone online ad nauseum.

What is useful about keeping a profile posted here is that when I get out to scene events, I regularly run into people who I've seen online and it's a segue into introducing oneself and starting up conversations that do lead to things like getting together later for lunch/dinner/etc.  That's happened quite often.

Any longer BDSM relationships I've had (several lasting well over a year each) have occured with men that I've met through the local scene (either at an event or referred to by someone I knew r/t) and NOT initially online, with the exception of several Domme with whom I've had long friendships.

I think ultimately the best way to meet people is to explore multiple options.   Get involved in your local scene, and make friends with everyone, not just those you think you might be in a relationship with.  Keep a personals online, and engage in "image control", i.e. if you feel you have a lot to offers, make sure you come across as interesting and upbeat rather than a bitter complainer.  Be as flexible in what you're looking for   -  if you're ONLY open to someone who lives in a 10 mile radius who fits a certain mold physically and who will do kinks x, y, z then you're not going to find someone.  If there are barriers holding you back from meeting people, actively work on removing those barriers.   If there are reasons that you know make you undesirable as a potential partner, then make sure you showcase the reasons that DO make you desirable.

No one is going to magickally sweep down and scoop you up like some juicy tidbit if you don't make sure you come across as a juicy tidbit.

I have met three local Doms and two Doms within state but 8 hours away from me from CM.  One local i ended up living with for almost two years.  One 8 hours away has become one of my best friends and we talk almost daily on the phone.

It's been so long now that i don't remember how i first heard about CM....(i recently returned after parting company with my last Dom)

I would like to meet some local subs too...even if for a cup of coffee and some sub talk on occasion.

edited to add...the only people i have met in the lifestyle over the last year have been people from here.

I have met 2 Dom's from CM in R/t. One did not work out, the other I am currently seeing. I originally found CM through my former Dom as he is also a member. All are in my local area.

I would like to meet a sub or two just for someone I can talk to about wiitwd as all of my friends are vanilla.

I have a Dom friend that I recently referred here and he is not having a lot of luck so far. I think it is easier for the female sub than a male dom to find a potential partner.
