What was the name of they guy with the big snake?  I liked him a lot and he was cute.

That was Jake the Snake. Someone mentioned him earlier.

It dawns on me, that perhaps I don't watch wrestling anymore because I enjoy participating so much in force play. It's like golf, I watch when I can't play.

I wonder if the folks posting here also enjoy force play? Just being nosy.
Yes, I do. However, I watch wrestling more for laughing at the campy, overplayed stuff. It's a flipping riot.

I have to give it to the organization though. These folks have capitalized on social media in such a way that the franchise has come so far. There are plenty of appearances from names past, which I happen to enjoy.

Well, I finally watched it. The arena was amazing! It made the event seem really grand. The matches themselves fell a bit flat in my opinion, maybe because I have been looking forward to it for so long. The first 6 felt really rushed and then the last three far too drawn out. Still, HBK was there! he is my favourite of all time, I've loved him since I was about 6 years old. I wish he would come back, I don't care how old he is now. The best match was probably Punk-Taker, and the worst was definitely Ryback-Henry. I don't like Ryback at all. I don't really like Cena either, but him and Rocky told a great story in their match.

I view wrestling as roughly on the same level entertainment-wise as Coronation Street, or whatever the American equivalent is. Don't look too closely and its awesome. As for force play, I will have to get back to you on that one!

The last time I watched what is now known as WWE it was called the WWWF and Vince McMahon Jr. was a humble ringside commentator and interview/promo schlub working for his father Vince McMahon Sr. who was still running the show. WOR-TV was on our fledgling cable service back in the day. I used to watch it every Saturday night at midnight. I downloaded a bunch of old late 70s - early 80s WWWF shows from MSG and the Spectrum and the Boston Garden. I have them on my hard drive somewhere. Bruno Sammartino was always my favorite. After Hulk Hogan came along I tuned out.
