Just curious how long most people seem to take to become good at being a submissive serving a Dominant Mistress?

It depends on your aptitude for being the right submissive for that woman, and how well you learn.

For some people, they never get there.

~FRing it~

Trying to put some arbitrary length of time on it is impossible. It's an ongoing process that continually evolves.

I agree with the above. The answer is completely dependent on the individual, their desire to learn, their commitment, and other factors.

Let's see now...

Cabin Boy's been my partner about 14 years, S about 13. I'd say that's a good start. [8D]

I currently have a part-time partner who lives 4 hours from me. We met on this site. We've known each other about 15 months as friends only with weekend visits about once a month. He 'got me' and what I prefer as 'service' from minute one, and none of it had to do with sex, or talking about sex. We just very recently (last night!) started the hands-on stuff. Wow! What...a...GOOD...boy!

So...the answer to your questions is: it depends.

Well, if you find the right person, about 5 seconds?

No snark intended (and very much from my own perspective), I think that compatibility has a more important role than experience or technique, since both experience and technique are just a matter of time and application, whereas compatibility is a much tougher nut to crack.

I think that depends on the individual, his willingness/desire to learn, where he's at on the learning curve, how compatible he and the Dominant woman are. Some just automatically and immediately "get it," some never do, and there is a huge learning curve in between the two.

That depends entirely on two things: What kind of person you are and which dominant mistress you're trying to become good at being a submissive serving.

I can't say anything about the first thing because I don't know you. But, I can say that one dominant might instantly find you perfect just as you are while another might never be satisfied with you.

I realize that this isn't the kind of answer you want. But, there is no one size fits all answer to your question.

I'd agree, but I'd also add how much she demands. If she's into high protocol and has a bunch of tasks that require s learning curve, it could take a while.

2 years, 134 days, 14 hours, 12 minutes, and 3 seconds, give or take. A little longer if you want to be really good.

Harry saved me a lot of typing, because he said exactly what I was going to say.

I once served an "old guard" Domme who had lots of protocols. Everything had to be done a specific way and at a specific time. So that was difficult to learn. I was always messing up until I was finally able to memorize the majority of her rules. But with a low protocol Domme, becoming a competent sub can be much easier (and faster).

I like ^^ this response best. There is no specific amount of time that it takes to be consired fully trained, that will work for everyone. It depends on the domina, and on your willingness to continually want to be the best submissive human being for her. M

For instance, I am not high protocol and don't have a lot of protocol type rules. My rules might not even be considered rules by some, but I like what I like and I expect things to be done that way. It might take less time to learn how to be mine than how to belong to a higher protocol Domme, but there's still going to be that pesky learning curve.

thanks everyone

That depends on the person being the submissive. Some are natural submissives others need to be trained.

[:)] If i am not sleeping with her by the end of the second date ... i move on [;)]

Honestly, it really has to do with what others said earlier ... about Your willingness ...

But there is an aspect of willingness that doesn't get a LOT of discussion or attention ...

That is the mental, emotional and physical connection.

I know for a fact, when a Lady connects with me mentally .. She invades me emotionally .. and i begin to succumb to Her desires.

Without too much elaboration .. i believe .. when You connect mentally and emotionally, then physically .. you will naturally submit ... it is kind of like the way we are all made.

Good luck.

LPslittleclip -> RE: Curious how long it takes to be a good experienced submissive? (4/12/2013 10:36:49 PM)

each situation is diffrent the dynamic that you form is built on trust and respect. the level of submission as well the most important thing to remember is that there is no one way of things so find those that work for you
