Females have come a long way in the past century.I support Womens rights and that has nothing to do with me being submissive towards women either.I don't believe in female supremacy or anything that ends with the word "supremacy".If I am correct,before Christians came around,Goddess worship was quite common.Then the "male god" slowly started to take over.I do think religion has played some role in limiting womens rights.Theres still religions today that that disrespect women. On the other side of the coin,women have gained a lot of rights,espcially here in the USA in the last 50 years.Goddess worhip religions like Paganism and Wicca are gaining acceptance.In fact,last I heard,Wicca is the fastest growing religion in America.Thanks to the internet,people can longer plead ignorance.Thank goodness times have changed.Theres still a lot of work to be done.

This is somewhat of an aside, but Katherine Russell Tsarnaev was in her first year of college when she met Tamerian. Part of the appeal of 50 Shades of Grey was how tame the BDSM was --- throughout the books the female protagonist remains basically independent. The first time Mr. Grey fucks her, he wears a condom. Before he institutes any scenes with her, he gets her consent. She never dropped out of school, got pregnant, and then ended up neglected while he went off traveling.

Perhaps that is "50 shades of grey" secret success there.I haven't read the book,so I can't say much on it.But from what people are saying who have read it,the people in the book did BDSM the "right way".Perhaps the world needs to see the successful,sane minded people who practice BDSM.When people realize this stuff is not as scary as the movies make it out to be,then more acceptance will follow.Theres books,movies,songs about S&M.This really isn't anything "new".Just misconceptions hopefully may change.That BDSM is not the scary boogie man in the closest.Movies like "8mm" is not a good movie to speak for BDSM.
