ok adam and eve were the only people on earth, and they only had 2 kids, 1 was killed but both were boys, where did cains wife come from?

ummmmmmmmmm... it is rather nebulous, seems cain took a wife when he was banished and had a bunch of nimrods (LOL)

I think with the lack of people in them days, just about everybody was sucking and fucking.....

It may be that Cain did Eve, I don't know, ask Oedipus....he may be hep to that situation.

From Wikipedia...

After they were removed from the garden, Adam was forced to work for his food for the first time. He and Eve had three children named in Genesis: Cain, Abel, and Seth. The Book of Jubilees names two of his daughters: Azura, who married her brother Seth, and Awan, who married her brother Cain. Both Genesis and Book of Jubilees state that Adam had other children, but those other children are unnamed.
According to the Genealogies of Genesis, Adam died at the age of 930.

According to the bible all humans since the beginning are sinners. It follows that all humans descended from Adam (with the exception of eve). Therefore Cains wife must have been a descendant of Adam which would mean that Cain probably married his sister. According to the bible Adam and Eve had many daughters but only three sons who are named cain, able and seth. If it was not his sister Cain married it would ahve been a very close relative. The prohibition of marriage between close relatives was not brought into force for approx 2,500 years after Adam was created.

He went into the land of Nod and found a wife. Nothing in the bible says that Eden was the only place where god was creating. The question is where was the prototype and was it registered?

The bible does state that all humans are the descendants of Adam and Eve. This tells you God was not creating anywhere else.

As a Pagan, I like to think that this is one of those simple allusions to the fact that other pantheons fit into the Christain paradigm that the Catholic bible censors just accidentally overlooked.

Cain may well have travelled to the land of nod but it would still have been a descendant of adam he married. All life human life descended from Adam. Actually i'm a little concerned i have bible knowledge - someone save me from godliness pleaseeeeeeee

If I remember right... the old testament speaks of "the others"... not actual descendants of Adam and Eve... but I could be totally wrong... this is a thread for beth to post on, she's the daughter of the parental preachers. She knows both testaments forwards and backwards... and the Torah.
(personally, I'm a godless heathen, I just think I remember her saying something of "the others" once)

ya know, this sorta proves a small point i have about the bible and religion...they just do NOT make sense and the bible...to me...is a poorly written (ancient) fictional novel someone cooked up a long time ago...just my POV

As for Cain, when the mourning for his brother was ended, he took his sister Luluwa and married her, without leave from his father and mother; for they could not keep him from her, by reason of their heavy heart.

LMAO!!! This very question got me expelled from school in my senior year!! We were doing *round table discussions of the bible and my group drew Genesis. I read a passage and paused to ask that very question! I posed it to the teacher and he was so flabbergasted by my *audacity! Needless to say, small town, Catholic school, questioning the bible and it's content and *gasp, inferring that incest might have existed???? Well duhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Oh, btw, I did get *re-instated and did graduate that year!

The question didn't get me expelled, but it put me on "the list." Later that year, I was caught reading Origin of Species during recess. THAT was the last straw for Pawtucket Christian Day School... and I was out.

Nicest thing they ever did to me. I moved to public school and really started learning about real stuff.

She was the Babylonian Goddess of Sex, circa 5000 - 3000 BCE. Those who chose to pay worship to her would go into her temple and have sex with one of her Priests or Priestess'. And, becareful what you ask for. While I am not a Priest of that faith specifically, I can certainly arrange it.
