Notsweet -> wondering if it's just me (4/13/2013 7:21:34 AM)

Or maybe it's the change of seasons. I don't know. But I've been so busy, and at night I get into bed and simply pass out. It feels like I get up in the morning and start running immediately. And I've heard this from a megaton of friends and acquaintances too--everyone suddenly is getting hit with time crunches and fires to put out.

My question--is this something that's simply in the air, or is it just me and my friends? Is it astrological, or are they spiking my water?

And what the hell is "Saturn Return?"

I don't know, but time seems to go faster and faster... wasn't Christmas just yesterday?

I know I turned 50 a couple of months ago, and 51 is coming up in 11 days. How the fuck does that happen?

It's the toilet paper theory. At the beginning of the roll it spins kinda slow as you tear some off.....but as you get towards the end of the roll it spins faster and faster until its gone.......[8|]

The orbit of Saturn is about 29 years.

So, when you are 29, Saturn returns to where it started, for you. When you are 58, it happens again.

You can work out the rest yourself.

FR

Doesn't it have something to do with your relative experience? When you are 8 a year is 1/8 of your entire life, when you are 16 its 1/16 and so on. The more of your life you can remember, the faster it goes. That's why I drink whiskey ;)

OP; Everything is happening at the moment, the only way is up though. Or, you know, catastrophe. Personally I'm hoping for up.

I'm feeling this way lately but that's just because I started a new job and I have to be up at 5am every morning. When I get home in the evenings, I usually just come home and crash these days. I have not been online much at all lately. I'm also suffering from terrible allergies right now which are making me ill.

So dunno if it's something everyone is going through right now or what, but it's definitely hitting me.

I was feeling that way a few months ago.

I thought it was the onset of menopause.

I came home a few times and told my son "If I didn't know better, I'd swear I'd been drugged".

Last week a former client came by the lodge to say hi. He told me a story about another client having put a sleeping pill in my Pepsi one evening. That happened around the time I remarked about being drugged, so I think the kid had done it more than once.

I asked the boss for occasional drug tests, he refused, claiming it might put my job in danger. Since I don't even like to take my prescription medications, take aspirin and other OTC pain relievers sparingly and have never used illicit drugs (which surprised my mother when she discovered I'd never smoked pot--she did often) I think his motives are more to save the agency the cost of the tests. Anyway, I asked my psychiatrist to order sporadic drug screenings. I had my first yesterday, which will serve as a base-line.

Hahahahaha, love it!

I, too, have been uber busy as of late. Mostly because I am about to start a new phase in my life and have a big move planned for the next month (god, I hate moving). But I am hoping things will calm down in June/July, so that I can enjoy life to the fullest once more. And the boyfriend is having allergy issues, which is weird, because supposedly he is allergic only to some pets and meds, not pollen. IDK, early spring is just freaking weird...

@ MasterG and the zeppo, I realize that's a big part of it, but I'm thinking more the "feast or famine" sort of deal where a few months ago, I was sitting around doing squat, and now I barely have time to see what's coming next. Turns out several friends are feeling the same.

Maybe it's spring fever!

Another reason for my doc to do the tests. The agency doesn't have to know unless I chose to let them know.
