Everyone wants to talk about themselves, an issue they have, family problems, relationship issues (always personal/one sided), "my car/computer/cell phone/fridge/automated cat box isn't working"...I on the other hand have (tried) to focus on things that were important to more of us and...in the last few days it dawned on me....

We're not discussing the truly important issues....

Let's talk about me.

Go ahead...you first.

I think some people talk about themselves because they might think that others may have something similar in their lives and might be able to identify with it. If someone has a problem, then they might believe that others might have had a similar problem and might be looking for support or advice. Some people just need to vent or share. I've never found it to be disconcerting.

I think it's because everyone already knows how wonderful you are. There's really no discussion or debate needed!

FR--because it's what you've earned.

I think it's because we can count on you to talk about yourself. I agree though, there's a glaring lack of Lookie Fan Club around here.

Also, I've made countless offers to come and allow you to worship and adore me, and you've done nothing. Nothing.

Just because you get regular laughs and adulation from around these parts, doesn't mean the rest of us don't crave some love and attention on occasion. M

Ah. Lookie. See, it would be hard for me to talk about you. I don't know you well. Me, on the other...I know me very well. I can talk myself for days and days.

(I noticed rather abruptly that....you're not talking about me).

Although I can fully grasp your point (and frankly, your point was nothing less than spectacular)......I really don't find that a valid argument regards....talking about me.

I find it awkward to have stated it more perfunctorily....I personally feel I couldn't have stated it more completely.

Intriguing.

We share somewhat similar interests.

Can you tell I'm tired? I missed the about up there. I can talk about myself for days and days LOL

Not really, though. I tend to be quiet person.

I only get loud and talk a lot when I need to vent about something.

Honestly, right now if it has a penis, it's in league to piss me off and hurt my feelings. Is it some holiday I don't know about?

I blame myself.

Interesting that you note that...quite a few get all caught up in the whole Valentines thing (all about the chic), while few recognize the national penis day where men are simply there to be accosted, only there to be reminded that they have a penis and in fact are the scourge of all things that are wrong.

I accept my part in this and am ready for my spanking.

Well, come get it. And frankly, I've never heard of this day where we celebrate men being the scourge of all things that are wrong. The source, maybe. But not the scourge. Is the monkey distracting you again?
