I was on the other end of the situation once. I caused the one and only accident I've ever been in. It was way back in 1986, when I was pregnant with my daughter. The woman who side swiped my car (she hit me but it was still my fault) sued me for $1 million. I turned it over to my insurance company and never heard about it. At the time I was told, "yeah, we'll settle with her". They settled out of court for a lesser amount but I never found out the amount, I didn't really care how much she got. The amount didn't affect me. That's what I pay insurance for. And I figured her attorney took her for a sweet ride by the time he was done anyway. And you'd better believe if I'm involved in another accident in which I'm not at fault, I'd want to be made whole. Car, health, time out of work, and pain and suffering.
