ORIGINAL: LafayetteLady So basically, he received Grants, which are essentially "free money" and he wants a refund for that? He received a combination of grants and loans. Do you ever even logically think about things before you post? I grow tired of your rude insults. When I was attending college, I received Grants. I knew how much each semester would cost (minus book costs), by adding up the credits. So if they had tried to charge me as an out of state student, I would have noticed the difference. Since he couldn't be bothered to do that, why should he be rewarded for that? When a government agency makes a mistake that results in an overpayment, they expect the overpayment to be returned. Does that mean they are being rewarded? The school made a mistake, he didn't notice it at first and I agree he should have. The fact is, a mistake was made. Since he has to pay back those loans, he should have free tuition equal to the amount he was overcharged.
