Rand Paul's already endorsed him. His ex-wife refused to do so. But now the website AshleyMadison.com has endorsed him.

Larry Flynt endorses him, too.

Abso-fucking-lutely!

See, if corporations (I don't know if that's a corporation, I'm just expanding it to include all business entities) didn't have speech rights, this couldn't have happened.

wow,.. its interesting that a Canadian based company owned by a Canadian can have such a profound effect on American politics!!!

but hey,.. I like that they have nice big billboards & are reminding voters what he did, he behaved very badly (both in his personal & political life) and no voter should forget that...

The impact that it aligns him squarely with Rush Limbaugh, and fucks him on the family values.

I would assume he will now run as an independent............LOLOLOL.

I doubt that it will have any profound effect on the election. Sanford's transgressions were front page news in the state. Anyone who is voting for him is well aware of his affair and likely doesn't care for whatever their personal reason is. The billboards are what they are - which is a pretty clever marketing angle on the part of AM.

So.... Canadians are proud of this company that promotes and profits off of infidelity? Interesting.

I never said anything about proud.. I just dont see how a non-American company can "endorse" an American politician or even why the story might be considered "news".. The smily means I am joking (does this need to be explained?), so no of course I dont think it will be profound or have much affect other than rubbing his past bad behaviour in his face.. sure, some voters will still vote for him (does that make you proud of those voters and him for running again?) And if he wins, well.. people will be getting the govt they deserve, as the saying goes..

What is an endorsement? All it says is that you back the person. Big deal. Now, if they are contributing to his campaign funds, that's an entirely different story.

I guess a question would be why would AshleyMadison want to endorse him, regardless of where they are located? Are they doing it to rub his face in his past, or are they doing it to garner "free" advertising?

The "news" part is making fun of him, and it is giving the website exposure.

Regardless of his being elected or not, people will still be getting the government they deserve.

they probably consider it good advertising and for them, yes its clever and they are taking advantage of the situation (for however long or short that lasts).. I consider it rubbing his face in it cuz his campaign is being asked about it and he undoubtedly will be hearing about the billboards from various people.. no one really wants to be reminded of their mistakes.. it wasnt just the infidelity, it was him lying to voters, it was him stealing/using/"borrowing" taxpayer dollars to pay for the costs of his affair..

Yes, people will still be getting the govt they deserve and that goes for all of yer politicians.. which is why ya'll come to forums to bitch about them all the time..

I used to live in a heavily blue district (re-districting moved me into a more red district). My County is extremely blue. I don't get the government I vote for. lol

If you notice, I tend to bitch more about "their" politicians than mine.

You seem to think there is a difference, blue, red.. they are all f'ing the same!!! they bail out their 1% buddies and leave both blue and red taxpayers holding the bag.. they kept health care as a business with taxpayers paying double or more than other health care systems, its still about profit, not about health care.. both parties do this.. they keep voters divided and that has allowed the 1% to continue making money hand over fist.. your system is broken and your country is broke (financially).. so yes, you do get the govt you deserve cuz you buy into that broken corrupt political system.. just sayin'..

Ah, but there are differences. As an example (and it certainly isn't true in every case), if one of them Blue's doesn't want to own a gun, he won't buy one and will try to prevent you from buying one, too. If a Red doesn't want to buy a gun, he doesn't buy a gun, but he's not likely to attempt to make your choice for you.

Since fidelity is more honored in the breach than in the observance, why is anyone surprised by AM, or Sanford, or the fact that the 'scandal' won't destroy his voting base?
