Status: offline 		It is such a rare thing that I receive a kind or complimentary message, and judging by the "Funny Messages" thread, it would appear many could say the same.

Since it is so unusual, and a little kindness goes such a long way, I thought we might all benefit from a "Nice message" thread, and I shall start it.

This is the gem I received this morning, which did much to lift my heart and put a smile on my face.

"Just a comment from afar.... the classiness and maturity you exhibit is not deserving of the silliness and nonsense that goes on here... you are FAR beyond that and multifaceted in maturity, authenticity, warmth and sincerity..."

Wow....just wow!

Status: offline 		I've hidden my profile on the other side so most of my messages have long since timed out and I can't copy here, but I've received many, many nice messages over the years. Particularly after I posted a somewhat introspective journal entry (nothing to do with D/s). I received messages from a whole different group of people than I had seen around there before and they wrote about the substance of my journal entry, not about getting together. It was quite nice and showed me that CollarMe actually seems to have more depth to it than may appear.

Status: offline 		The only nice messages I have ever received on here have been from Master and a few people from this side when they want to comment on something I typed here. I don't save my messages though so I can't really post any.

Other than that, in all the years I've been here I don't really think I've ever received nice messages other than those mentioned above.

Status: offline 		Lately, I have received several compliments on here and when I thanked the person, they requested to jump immediately to chat, which I of course refused. They somehow think my profile statement "No chat requests" does not apply if they compliment me first. So these I consider ploys, not true compliments.

In the time I have been on here, I have received a number of nice messages without an ulterior motive. My mail retention is six months, and I don't see any in there now, so it evidently wasn't recently. I'll keep my eye out, though.

messages! Even the ones correcting my spelling
have been polite and well mannered.

If anything, my replies have been the ones lacking
occasionally!

I however haven't had any women throwing
themselves at me begging to have my babies,
which I would certainly consider a nice message.

Or maybe they have been... I'm horrible at reading
between the lines!

And that surprises you when you write in one of your previous posts some time ago, that you woke up and 2 huntsman were over your bed???

edited to add: nothing nice in particular on here from my side.....though it is a rather long time ago now that I was searching on here and even if I would want to, I would not be able to look back in that respect...

Status: offline 		Dusky, what a great idea for a thread. I really enjoy your positive way of thinking!

I have received many nice messages. When I do receive a nice random message, expecting absolutely nothing in return, it really does brighten my day a little. Several have complimented my eyes and there have been a few helpful ones from some people on this side.

I have not received a message as wonderful as the one you posted, but next time I do receive a lovely one I'll remember to post it here.

Status: offline 		i've had alot of compliments on the other side. i always reply with a thank you very much. sometimes that is the end of it, but as said above sometimes apparently saying thank you now means that the rest of your profile nolonger exhists for that person. some send back that i am very welcome....which is nice.

it's bad i guess, but generally compliments from strangers about my pics don't really mean anything to me. it's nice and all that, but i'm not flattered by it because His opinion is the only one i'm bothered about. getting a compliment about a post is much better because that is more personal. it usually means it's from someone else that posts in here regularly so they at least see a little more of me than just the fickle view of my legs

i have to say that the best messages i have had on the other side have been from some of the people on this side when they have sent me messages of support. i've had them wishing my son well and sending him positive and healing vibes. there are a couple of people from here that have sent me some lovely messages when i have been feeling really down and it's lovely to know that there are people here i can talk to if i need to.

those people know who they are and they ROCK!

I am just glad that those critters are not over here....just recently it took me a damn lot of effort to squash a big spider which was cheekingly sitting in front of our entrance door downstairs....and that one was just the size of half of my hand....I have put my cat twice onto it but as it didn't want to move my cat left it with no further interest....

Yanno...as much as I would love to visit australia one day...your critters do work well for me as border protection

But now back to the main programme...didn't want to derail this awesome thread

Status: offline 		In general I have received a lot of wonderful messages from board members throughout my time here. In particular too, a few months ago a couple of people picked up on a hard time I was having, and sent me much needed support; it was very thoughtful and much needed.
