Flake willing to support background checks, with changes to internet sales

Here's a Republican senator for Arizona. He voted against the recent gun legislation in the Senate but he did so because the wording of the bill could have a negative impact on his constituents. He voted in representation of the people who sent him to Washington. If he can work with the bill's sponsors to amend the language he is willing to support the measure.

I get so tired of hearing about how the reason this didn't pass is because the NRA are thugs and they lied about the legislation and they have all those GOP senators in their pocket. If I send a friend an email about a gun I want to sell that he has expressed interest in purchasing this suddenly becomes a "commercial sale"? Really??? Gimme a break.

"Oh, this bill is not going to impact privates sales." How many times did we hear that bullshit? And Obama had the balls to call the NRA liars.

Kudos to the senator for doing the right thing.

Actually he is lying.

The internet sale provision required a public advertisement. an email or such is clearly not a public ad. Flake is changing his tune because he is now less popular than the Boston bomber.
