Now, now SeverinVim, personally I am an equal opportunity, people disser. If I can diss myself, I can diss anyone. People have based careers on it! We need to laugh more. Be less sensitive about what people say and do. Just keep on truckin, ya know? Or are you too young to know that term? I could explain it to you if need be, but then I would have to explain a few other things too. Take from a place/people what will benefit you without doing harm and fuck the rest of it/them. Not in the biblical sense, if you know what I mean. There are sucky women and men. Find the fun ones that suck in a good way. All good. Why make a big deal out of it?

But, in my defense (and in the defense of MANkind, no pun intended!), there are women online who make it their pastime to troll lonely, seemingly "dull-witted" young men and post about their exploits on message boards such as these, all the while ranting about how such men are "crazy" and "pathetic" and "sick"! And yet, what can be said of the angler casting her line for radioactive fish to begin with? If she's not planning to eat her catch, why not toss it back? Her purpose is intrinsically disingenuous.

Oh shit, I just did that on another thread. Eekkkk! Like I said... fuck'um. I've found some amazing friends here and were I not so... well, everything that my life is and I am or are not, I might have found someone. I'm still here laughing my ass off. I tend to call it in my journal. Heard of the ugga, ugga man? Or the dom that has everything? Or the domina that wants her garden taken care of from at least five profiles? And my response about manroot? I have fun with it. Keeps me alive to laugh anther day. Do I get laid? No... but oh well... I can live with dust and smelling funny. [;)]

I guess I'm weird. I never get that impression. I've been here a little over six years. Quite often, it's the posts from women that make this place. I can't tell you how many conversations I've enjoyed with those of the female persuasion. Even when we don't agree (or they may not even like Me). Yeah, I hear stuff from guys complaining about fins or fakes or whatever the flavor of the day might be. These gals on the forums? They are generally pretty interesting to talk to and most of them are pretty smart. They help Me enjoy My time here.

A few points to consider.... 1) Alright, I may be old, and I will admit to being overweight but will have to say I am doing a damn good job of getting the weight off. 2) I have managed to rebuild and mend some of the bridges that I nuked in my misspent youth with family members that I screwed over in my mission to look out for number one and screw everyone else. 3) I have maintained my proficiency in the some of the skills in which I was trained in the army, AND I was a member of the creme de le creme US Army Rangers, all the rest of the military are strictly second rate.... 4) I am paying my mortgage, granted it is in partnership with my sister, but we are making ends meet. So if I am a loser, what do you call a 35 year old man that lives in his mother's basement trying to meet girls on the internet?

i couldn't agree more Lady Pact. there have been a few instances where the women here have helped me by giving advice ( either directly via a post i made or via replies to someone else ). Even on the other side of CM i've found most of the women i've been in contact with to be helpful and polite. perhaps i don't attract the ones that are being spoken of here in the OP.

If I had a complaint about women, it would be that they don't seem to want or value male friends. This maxim is more pronounced if you are a married male. In the online universe this means being ignored. In defense of women, there are many reasons for having their deflector shields up, but those deflector shields are my own private pet-peeve. I suppose all-to-often male friendliness is a game of "I really want to fuck you," but that perception / reality often means --- men can't be friends with women -- and all friendly initiatives will be shut down or ignored as a result. I suppose, too, that jealous males in the background might contribute to this problem as well. B/c men don't need deflector shields, they remain wide open for friendship opportunities across the gender divide.

I like hanging with the guys. I don't actually have any close female friends (other than family). That might be because I work with guys on a day to day basis (almost exclusively, now that I think about it). I value my male friends a lot. Plus, my guy friends have much better hobbies to tag along for, like shooting.

In my experience 85%-90% of all *people* aren't worth a warm bucket of spit. It's that simple. This isn't exactly "man bites dog", here. I sort of understand your thing, though. In terms of a site where we deal with relationships, a male heterosexual is going to have issues with females. It's de rigeur. The problem is a lot of the CCC have become jaded and once the blood's in the water, the sharks will circle. Peace and comfort, Michael

Unfortunately, cb, usually meaning 9 out of 10 times when a guy says he wants to be friends with me it leads within 3 emails to talk about sex. The ratio is much worse when he lives locally. It's why I rarely talk to guys online unless they live on the West Coast or further. Anybody within a thousand miles usually does have an agenda. Now you may well be the one in a thousand who is sincere, but how are any of us to know that? We've been burned too damn often.

I refuse to be friends with men on the other side, I always get taken for a ride and I'm just sick of it, so I won't even entertain the notion anymore. Why? I"ve been burned close to 100% on the other side with men claiming to want friendship and trying to change that up at some point to try to get to what their real purpose is. You can believe that or not, many men here never seem to really believe the continuous crap women get in their mailbox, but the reason I have the deflector shield up and I'm not willing to take it down anytime soon is because the instances of men offering true friendship on the other side have pretty much been 0%. I can keep being stupid and say I'll accept male friendships, or I can pay attention to what really happens on an overwhelming basis, and head it off by closing the door before I get ticked off once again. The one way around my deflector shields is to be someone from the forums. I do have some completely awesome male friends from the forums that I enjoy talking to regularly. [:)]
