I love camping. Tent, sleeping bags, cooking over fires, fishing with a cane pole. My kids and I started camping right after my husband died. Nothing like having 3 kids under the age of 4 out in the middle of nowhere.

And it's one of the things my kids do now as adults ... they still love it.

Sorry but I have gotten soft in the last 25+ years. Blame the fibromyalgia. Got to have something in the right range to sleep on, no bugs and I tend to get up in the early mornings sleepwalking.

I know the feeling, with my bad back. When I go camping now, I had to break down and get an air mattress and a dome tent instead of just sleeping under the stars on a bed of brush. I also got a game cart to help haul the stuff from my car to wherever. That helps a lot. And there are ways to curb your sleepwalking, you know...you probably have them in your toybox....

Seriously, I knew a girl who wore a puppy collar on her wrist attached to a line on the headboard solely to keep her from sleepwalking. Not a kinky woman in the least, she turned to that so she wouldn't walk out of the house in her PJs. Apparently, it worked.

I have a large RV.. that is my efficiency apartment on wheels used for work at remote locations.

Camping is when I strap the $30 pup tent on the back of the motorcycle and toss a coin to pick a direction.

Safety topic time, check the temperature of the mountain stream prior to putting your beer in the stream to chill if you are camping in Yellowstone. Exploding beer cans spoil the mood when you toss things in to chill and there is a hot spring down below and the stream is 120F.
But, dang, soaking felt good.

Do you know how these folks up here got Me going camping?

1. No tents. Cabins at a huge campground.

2. One of the large cabins is dedicated to a 24 hour dungeon for four days.

3. The other large cabin is the kitchen/dining area.

4. Sleeping cabins have actual mattresses in them.

5. While we have tons of mosquitoes, there are no snakes.

6. There are other kinky people there that I can beat.

That's My kind of camping.
