Not sure why you are concluding these are "crazy psycho top women" without any details. But two things I'd say:
1. For a lot of women, to truly submit to someone you need to trust them and that takes time and getting to know someone, development of a relationship.
2. It's not that uncommon to find both men and women who in day to day public life are powerful and assertive but behind closed doors are submissive. If you are assertive and in control every day at work, it is very powerful and seductive to just had over control to someone else in the bedroom. So I wouldn't necessarily be sure that if you are picking assertive women that they are actually tops.
A woman can be powerful, assertive and self confident but still a true sub. But "a sub" does not mean a doormat. They are not the same.
